Part that shoots water to top spinning arm was coming apart and seals around door looked bad Ralph L. • Miami , FL • June 20, 2016
I ordered a new rubber door seal for around door, new bottom door seal and spinner impeller and nut to hold on bottom arm as it looked weak. Everything worked great except bottom door seal which looks slightly different and would NOT stay on. I ended up putting back on the old one. Door doesnt leak but not sure it would even be worth it sending part back as I already tossed bag out. Other parts worked great and DW cleaning better.

Leaky lg dishwasher Tom B. • Perrysburg , OH • October 09, 2015
I ordered a tub seal to fix a gasket that let go in our LG LDS4821BB. Once I tore it apart to get the gasket out (little trouble) I also found what has made this DW stink for the last year. I needed to also replace the filter unit in the bottom of the tub and clean the heater area. I ordered the filter the same day I got the gasket. Both arrived WITHIN 48hrs of my order. Wow!! What more can you ask for? Great prices too. Both parts were replaced by removing a total of 12 screws and easy...

Leaking from the bottom John H. • Ozark , MO • October 14, 2014
The gasket is fairly straightforward: it's just a press-fit right in to the channel. What you need to know is that you need to stretch the gasket material lengthwise prior to installation; if you don't it will be too short. The problem is that the bottom seal is not included with this gasket kit. The bottom seal begins to loosen at the corners and then begins to allow water past the door. The only way the bottom seal is sold is as part of the inner door assembly, which is costly. I removed...

Circulation motor leaking Steve W. • Frederick , MD • November 18, 2019
Following the great video on the site, I pulled the motor off and was about to put the o-rings on when I noticed there was rust on the motor shaft. Very close inspection showed the o-rings were still good. Not having time to order a motor, and a local store was having a sale, I replaced the whole unit.

The "heavy" load light was blinking Mark K. • Everett , WA • January 30, 2017
Research indicated that it may be a moisture sensor failure or a leak. It ended up being a leak from the oil seal on the motor shaft. A small piece of plastic made it's way into the system. The hot water softened it enough that it wrapped around the motor shaft, re-hardened, then tore into the shaft seal. I fixed it by replacing the shaft seal, moisture sensor (corrodes when it gets wet), and replaced the sump seal since I had it disassembled.

Stretched gaskets (seals) Ian M. • Foster City , CA • August 02, 2015
While waiting for a replacement PCB, I cleaned the filter and soaked up the remaining water in the tub (dishwasher died mid-cycle) which entailed removing the dishwasher mesh filter and cover assembly of the pump assembly. The filter seal in the cover assembly and seal in the case scroll popped out. These two gaskets (seals) somehow had stretched and were very difficult to keep in their tracks while reassembling the pump assembly after cleaning. Replacement gaskets fit much better than the...
