This is an easy home-owner repair!

3. Using the nut driver, remove the two kick-plate screws and lay the kick-plate aside.
4. Discard the broken spring.
5, Look at the remaining spring to determine where the spring should hook.

Broken door springs on kitchen aid dishwasher John M. • Carmel , CA • September 19, 2014
One of the two springs on our 25-year-old dishwasher broke with a loud "bang" five days ago. This is an easy fix, involving the removal of only the bottom access panel (two screws). However, we have a wooden insert covering the door, so that the dishwasher matches the cabinets. This makes the door MUCH heavier than normal, and so the door springs are not stock, but are heavy-duty.
I didn't know what springs to buy.

Dishwasher door broke Vincent D. • Collingswood , NJ • January 25, 2020
So I noticed a few months ago that the dishwasher door felt a lot heavier than it used to. Then just recently I opened it and heard something snap and the door came crashing down onto my foot! Ouch!! The door was still able to close but opening it required it being fully lowered by hand. I had no idea how heavy the dishwasher door was! So I got down onto the kitchen floor with a flashlight. I removed the metal panel at it’s base by lifting it up and pulling it out. Once I was able to get a...

No directions with tracks, just arrows on the parts. Already assembled with new plastics braces similar to what was inside washer wall holding permanent track on either side. Unsure at first whether I had to remove old plastic braces. No screw heads visible. Maneuvered existing tracks a bit and they came off fairly easily. Likewise...
