At first, I suspected the evaporator fan motor was going bad, but when I went in to check it out, I found the evaporator coils totally frozen up; the fan was cavitating. I determined it was the thermostat, found the model number and Appliance Pros had one they said would work. So, I ordered one and got it in 2 days. Opened the package, read the instructions and 10 minutes later my new food was going to be cool and my water would be ice. All it took was remove housing, unplug old part, plug in new part and replace housing.

We attempted to reassemble the dispenser. At the time we did realize how simple it was to remove the cover. We checked Appliancepartspros.com and found the Water Dispenser Cover Assembly. Once we saw the part and understood how the cover was in place, we used a thin, flat, trowel to gently get under the cover to pry it loose. We then just snapped the new cover in place. A small rubber mallet would be helpful. We ordered the entire assemble in case we broke parts in our attempt to replace....

Took 10 minutes. Upnplug or turn the power off to the Refig/Freezer. One screw to take off the plastic cover plate where the light LED Assembly is attached and carefully unplug the LED Assembley from the Freezer and remove the cover plate from the top of the Freezer . Unscrew the old LED Assembly from the cover and install the new LED Assembly. Plug the LED Assembly into the Freezer and carfully insert plastic cover plate in the freezer and replace the cover pate screwscrew.
