This upper ice bin holds ice and engages the auger/crusher assembly for dispensing from the freezer. Replacing a cracked or worn bin restores smooth cubed or crushed ice delivery and reduces jams and spills. What it does:
- Holds and feeds ice to the auger/crusher for dispensing through the door
- Aligns and supports the auger drive and crusher components
- Helps maintain proper ice flow and dispensing performance
- Common symptoms: ice won't dispense or crush, bin won't seat/latch, visible cracks or broken tabs, unusual grinding from the bin area
What's included:
Install notes:
- Disconnect power before servicing; remove the ice bucket from the freezer
- Empty remaining ice and transfer any reusable internal components from the old bin to the new bin as required by your model
- Ensure the auger drive yoke engages and the bin seats fully before restoring power
- Handle carefully; overtightening fasteners can crack the new bin

Faulty valves dry cracked water tubing mold in water reservoir Samuel E. • Yarmouth , ME • March 12, 2018
I purchased a replacement water valve assembly and a replacement water reservoir from AppliancePartsPros and researched some online videos to learn how to replace both these items, including all new water tubing. In the online process, I utilized "how-to" videos from AppliancePartsPros, too. Installing the water reservoir proved the most tricky, mostly because it was tricky feeding the tubing under the refrigerator. By comparison, installing the valve assembly and running new tubing for it was...

The pump to the water dispenser in the door of my refrigerator developed a leak Danny J. • Maple Valley , WA • May 05, 2014
First, I had to remove the cover plate on the back of the refrigerator. Then I unscrewed the water inlet valve from the rest of the assembly. I then unplugged the electrical contacts by pulling them apart. There are two fittings on the valve. One has a nut on it. That one just needs the nut unscrewed, after which the pex tubing can be pulled out. The other one has a pex connection. This one can be separated by simultaneously pushing in on the fitting neck while pulling the pex tubing out. On...

- Position- and orientation-specific within the blade stack; match to your original
What's included: One ice crusher blade (#1 position) Install notes:
- Disconnect power and switch the ice maker OFF before servicing
- Remove and empty the ice bucket; allow any frost to thaw
- Disassemble the bucket front/auger and note the exact blade order and orientation—take photos for reference
