Washer Dryer Combo Valve Parts

I'm starting with a quick background on my dryer. About 18 months ago the belt on the dryer started slipping and squealing. I had a can of belt dressing spray so I popped the top open and sprayed the belt. It actually worked for about a year before it started squealing again. 1. Sleeve for input, Injector valve, nozzle and seal for input fixed this problem. Probably the main part that was the trouble was a deformed Injector Valve which is a rubber tube with an internal retention groove at the wide part that grips the Nozzle. The Sleeve and the Nozzle are hard plastic parts that basically looked fine, but I replaced them anyway while I was in there. This is my third repair of this type. The first was a stand-alone washer and was very easy, because there was a plate on which the inlet valve assembly was mounted, and it was easily removed. Frigidaire Gallery gas dryer from maybe 15 years ago. Based on the fact the the smell was only in the dryer, I concluded it must be the gas valve failing to completely seal when closed. After looking at the insides again, I suppose it is possible that it was a connection near the burner, but that stuff had remained untouched for 10 years so I still think I made a good assumption. Removed some screws, opened the top of the wash machine, unplugged some wires to remove the part, plugged the wires back into the mew part, put the new water valve into place, secured the water valve with the screw, put the top back on the wash machine, and replaced all remaining screws! Real Simple! Read more

It is a simple fix with removing the old by disconnecting connecters to the solenoids. removing two screws, disconnect the hoses entering and leaving the dispenser. Installing it is simply a reverse of the removal. Total time was certainly less than 30 minutes. Read more
