I replaced the burner switches, since we had been having trouble with specific burners igniting unless another burner was tuned on. I ordered new ones. It was expensive but I didn't want to risk bits of corrosion near my food. I did need to have my husband drill a slightly larger hole in the large central burnr-head, apparently the design changed, but that was not difficult.
