Fridge side wasn't staying cold massive ice build up in freezer ice blockage in fan duct Christopher M. • Yorba Linda , CA • December 15, 2014
Condenser was encased in solid block of ice due to automatic defrost not working. Replaced thermostat and ADC control board. Working fine now. Most tedious part was using a heat gun to melt all the ice off the condenser coils.
You will need a couple small wire nuts to splice the new thermostat into the existing harness (they are not included).
Service tech wanted over $400 to repair, fixed it myself for half that. Thanks !

While the repair video is excellent, I could not remove the ice/water dispenser front panel with a putty knife. Replaced both sets of door cams on my Kenmore Elite Refrigerator. The most important thing to know is that you DO NOT have to remove the doors from the refrigerator to replace BOTH sets of cams. You just have to remove the lower grill which is a snap fit (I also turned off the water and unplugged the unit). My fridge has an ice and water dispenser where the water and electrical lines go through the cams on the left side. Be sure to order the correct parts as the cam holes on the freezer side...

Originally the dryer was squeaking a lot, so I purchased a new belt tensioner, but the original tensioner was an old-style no wheel tensioner, so that wasn't the source of the squeaking.
