Replaces worn or leaking shock absorbers that cause excessive vibration and wobbling during spin cycles. Restores stability and smooth operation.
My washing machine was making a loud thumping sound and bouncing around a bit. Research suggested that it could be bearings and/or the spider shaft assembly. After watching the instruction videos to replace the spider or bearings, I seen you need to replace both the shaft seal and tub gasket to get to the spider and bearings. So I ordered both and waited for them to arrive. Plan was to disassemble the washer, determine what was needed, order the additional parts needed, and reassemble after the... Read more
Fixes loud banging during spin cycle and excessive vibration. Secures the drum spider assembly. Time-consuming repair (6 hours) but saves replacement costs.
I followed Matt's awesome video from AppliancePartsPros.com to build up my "I can do this" reserves. But here's the story leading up to that point... We purchased our Samsung WF419 on a “Black Friday” special November 2009 expecting to get some good years out of the washer/dryer pair. We don’t run more than 2 or 3 loads a week in the washer, so ours has had relatively little use over the beginning of its anticipated and expected long life-cycle. When the “thumping” started on the spin cycle a... Read more

Secures the door boot gasket on your washer. Replace if seal pops off, leaks occur, or spring wire breaks. Confirm fit with your model number.
Normally, I hire someone to come fix washer or dryer problems as time is limited and if the cost is close or more than the machine, I buy a new one instead. But since we are on shelter-in-place, I figure I could repair it since I have more time on my hands and my brother assured me, it was not hard to do. I took the top panel, door off and then looked online to find a service manual, which allowed me to take the front panel off. My suspected drain hose was the failure mode: the rubber tube... Maintains a watertight seal around your washer door to prevent leaks. Replace if you notice water pooling or visible tears. Verify fit with your model.
This process was fairly straightforward, it took a couple of hours. I watched a video on youtube and followed the directions. The trickiest part was attaching the diaphragm to the tub. The weights were in the way and made it difficult to seal. I ended up removing the weights and it went on much easier. Read more
Prevents water leaks between washer tub and drum. Replace if you notice leaking, grinding noise, or water damage. Confirm fit with your model number.
Noticed large banging in the washing machine when transitioning from low to high speed spin. Also would get a slight smell of burnt rubber. Did an online search and best guess was the spider arm assy was broken. Ordered the spider arm assy, the rear tub seal and the tub seal. Make sure you get blue threadlocker - you'll use it multiple times during the reassembly. The washer is 9 years old and is heavily used. Used the online video on the appliancepartspros.com site to handle the repair. The... Read more

Washer not filling with water or showing 4E error? The water inlet valve controls flow into your machine. DIY repair in 15-40 minutes with video guide.
I found a youtube video about replacing the hot water valve in a Samsung washer. It looked pretty easy. I had been very satisfied with an earlier order from AppliancePartsPros.com, so I ordered this part on Sunday after 9PM, standard delivery, hoping to get the part by the end of the week. I was flabbergasted to receive the part TUESDAY MORNING! Wow! I followed the instructions in the youtube video exactly. It took around 15 minutes, because I was being very careful not to drop screws in... Read more
Washer won't drain or draining slowly? A failed drain pump prevents water removal during cycles. Moderate DIY repair with video guide available.
I opened the washer and replaced the pump. To open the washer: 1. Remove the 2 screws that are different from the others in the top back corners of the machine. That will let you remove the top. 2. Remove the soap tray and its holder. The tray comes out if you depress the tab in the back center. Its holder comes out if you remove the two screws in the front. You can leave all the hoses attached. 3. Remove the control panel. It snaps in. Undo the top snaps first. You'll have to reach... Read more
Replace your broken, cracked, or missing dryer control knob encoder assembly. Mounts to the front control panel for precise cycle selection control.
Ordered new control knob and replaced broken one. The most difficult part was popping out the control panel so I could access the control knob. I ended up "wrestling" it out. It would be wonderful if the product manual had some guidance on how to pop out all panels. Read more

Replacement mounting bolt for washer counterweights. Secures balance weights to drum assembly. Order when bolt is broken, stripped, or missing.
I took apart the washer to find both of the weight balancers had broken in 2 and were banging around. They had also caused the boot seal to rip. I removed the broken weight balancers and replaced them along with a new boot seal. There was one small spot with the seal wasn't fully attached to the outer drum so I had to take it back apart to fix that minor error on my part. Otherwise, it was a fairly easy fix. Read more
