I wrote down the model and serial # of the unit. I went on line to Appliance Parts Pros, and entered the data. Up popped a schematic with the part clearly numbered. I looked up the number, and ordered the part. Although the standard shipping said it would take 2 days, FedEx delivered the part the following day! I was able to unscrew the inside of the door, (took a special torx bit that I had to go to Ace Hardware to buy), then had to make another trip to Ace to get another special bit to... Read more

The video on AppliancePartsPro is not for the part I ordered. After searching a bit I learned that I needed a 3/16" hex driver to remove the two screws that hold the assembly to the washer. After that it was easy. Just remove the two screws, take off the old one and attach the new one. Easy. Read more

This Drain Pump Motor Assembly replaces the washer's drain pump motor and impeller so the machine can move water out during drain and spin cycles. Restores proper draining and reduces standing water in the tub. What it does:
I was able to pull the entire basket/pump/motor assembly out from inside the tub I did not pull the DW out of the cabinet. I did not remove/disconnect the water line or even have to disconnect/cut power. I only removed the drain tube and drain pump. The rest came out from inside the tub. Much easier than I anticipated. There are some videos that demonstrate how to do this. I took my time and cleaned everything once I had it all out. Read more
This run capacitor helps start and keep the motor running smoothly by providing the necessary phase shift and torque boost. A weak capacitor can cause hard starting, humming, or intermittent motor operation.
Figured it was either the capacitor and/or motor. Ordered both parts to be sure. tried changing the capacitor first; same problem. Replaced the motor (leaving the new capacitor in place). Unit now works fine. Overall an easy fix once you get the washer out and tip it on its side or top to get access to the motor area. Read more
