Oven won't heat or bake properly? This bottom bake element converts electricity to heat for even baking. Simple DIY fix—2 screws, 2 wire terminals.
It took no time to find where the problem was! I got my Frigidaire model number and got on-line with AppliancePartsPros.com where I have gone for over a decade for all my household repairs. Why? because they are honest, helpful, considerate, fast, and its easy to locate and SEE the exact part I need. 10 minutes after the burning of my element, one was in my cart and ordered! Done. TWO days later, the part arrived. I turned off the circuit breaker, unscrewed the two 1/4" screws and pulled off... Read more
Burner won't turn off or stuck on high? This surface element switch controls heat settings for large burners. Moderate DIY with panel removal.
After an internet search, the likely problem was a faulty "Element Switch.." I actually unplugged the stove and removed the switch (I did NOT disconnect the wires). I obtained the part number on the switch, disassembled it, observed that the contacts were highly degraded, reassembled the switch and reinstalled it back into the stove. This all provided confidence the SWITCH was faulty. One switch on the AppliancePartsPros.com website (AP2591804) looked exactly like the switch in the stove... Read more

I googled "drip pans for electric range" and came upon your web site as well as some others. After looking at three or four I decided to go with your company. The choices clearly described the pans available so I didn't have to guess which one would fit. The price was very good and they arrive in the mail two days after I ordered them. The drip pans fit perfectly. Thank you. Charles Cummings Read more

The receptacle that held the burner element in place was broken so the burner would not make a connection and heat up. I ordered the receptacle kit. There was even an online video that showed how to make the repair. It just took a screwdriver and wire cutters and about 15 minutes and the job was done. The burner works great. Read more
Fix F10 error codes or inaccurate oven temperatures with a new sensor probe. Common fix for ovens that overheat or won't reach set temp. Easy DIY repair.
After I came from from work, my wife told me about the problem. I quickly began to research the code F10 which according to the paper in the pouch behind my range said it needed a new temperature control sensor and that should fix it. It also said that if that doesn't fix the problem that I'd have to replace the circuit board which probably got fried due to the runaway temperature. So, I decided to just order the temperature sensor part# AP3963654 for $25.63 plus shipping. I ordered the part at... Read more

If your oven won't bake or broil, the clock control board likely failed. This part regulates temperature and sends power to heating elements. DIY-friendly.
I first felt along each heating element (bake and broil) hoping to find a rough or blistered place on them. But they were both smooth with no irregular places. (replacing the elements would have been the easiest and cheapest repair. Pulled the back off the range (unplugged, of course) - checked wiring. There were no loose connections or burned wiring. I disconnected the elements and checked them with a ohmmeter (VOM) and both had continuity. Discovered that both elements used the same... Read more

Before we replaced the board, my wife tried to replace just the element. We had one we had ordered several years ago when this same thing happened. When that didn't work we replaced the board and could see where the old board was damaged so we figured this was the solution. It would have been except the bottom element my wife used to replace the old element (which was fine but had been thrown out figuring the new one was new so why keep the old one) was 1" shorter in the back than the old... First off, shipping was ridiculously fast. Ordered at 3:30pm EST, shipped same day, and arrived at my house by 10:30am the following day. This was with standard shipping. Granted, the package only was delivered from one state away, but WOW, was not expecting that. Replacement of the control board was much easier than I expected. I truly had it fixed in 15 minutes. The video was pretty much spot on. I user a single edged razor blade to carefully go around the edge of the overlay and remove it... Read more
