Noise was coming from dryer rotation so I checked in to what it was. Found out the drum gasket had a tear in it causing the drum to "skip a beat" during operation. Basically making a scraping sound every rotation. I chat'd with AP Pro about parts and found the gasket was more than the drum! You need 2 as well, front and rear, plus glue to secure it. Staff very helpful ,,,,,,, while I did find a broken heater. Cleaning the dryer with compressed air fixed the issue. Moisture Sensor Dryer Thermistor do not like a covering of Dust no electrical likes a layer of dust when its trying to sense. Due to manufacturer changes, the idler assembly is no longer included. If needed use part number DC93-00634A. For the motor bracket only use part number DC61-01213A.
At first I thought it was the dryer belt. The drum would spin freely with no resistance. I went to Youtube to find a instructional video on how to change the belt. After a few short steps on had access to the dryer belt. To my dismay it wasn't the belt at all. I realized after doing a quick inspection that the idler wheel used to put tension on the belt had broken and was causing the issues.
