Replaced defrost sensor in freezer compartment, if you are handy this is a do it yourself job. The cover in the freezer section just pops out not tools needed. You will need a few small zip ties and some cutters to remove the old zip ties. Take a picture were the old sensor was before removing and reinstall in the same place. The ice chute flap wasnt closing. 1. I turned off power 2, Pulled off facia around controls on freezer door,, you have to pull out the bottom part of the chute first , its clipped in 3. According to LG site error code is Refrigerator Fan. I removed the current fan by taking out the shelves. Then removing the bottom left track that is held in by 2 screws and a tab. Then you remove the plenum in the back. To do so, remove 2 screws under that hold the middle rack support. You need to lift up the covers that cover the screws. Oven not heating or baking unevenly? A failed bake element is often the cause. This replacement requires pulling the oven out to access the rear panel.
First, I took an ohm reading across the elements and determined the bad one, which was failed, open circuit. (Zero continuity) I then replaced the lower heating element of the upper oven. Although the design of the oven and element make it appear that it will just drop down and slide out the front, this is not quite the case.
