Refrigerator warm but freezer cold? Noisy evaporator fan? This mounting grommet reduces vibration and noise. Takes about 1 hour to replace with video guide.
I noticed Ice maker Quit for the third time in 15 years so I decided to buy another Ice maker, I installed it and NO ice still?? Well I went after the other problem thinking if it does not get cold enough maybe ice maker won’t work. I ordered Defrost Switch, Heater and Evaporator Fan just to be safe. I replaced all three, the fan was noisy, the heater OHM’d ok but I replaced it as did the defrost switch, I put it back together, the Freezer got to 0 degrees and the frig got to 38 degrees so I... Ice dispenser not working or skipping? This coupling washer connects the auger motor to the ice bin. DIY-friendly repair with video guide included.
The problem was that the motor coupler & shaft had a tiny bit of rust at their union. With the weight of the ice bin it rusted in the lowest position. This didn't allow the motor coupler to float on the shaft. There is a spring inside the shaft that pushes up on the motor coupler keeping it engaged in the ice bin coupler above. This coupler in turn rotates the auger in the bin to dispense the ice. I removed the motor coupler & shaft, tapped the coupler loose and filed off the rust. This allowed... Read more

Reviewed the AppliancePartsPros.com site and decided that the most likely suspect was the ice motor. I ordered one and got it FAST! I removed the water ice tray in the bottom of the Ice/water kiosk which exposed two phillips screws which I removed. The front panel came off by lifting upward and unplugging it. The ice door motor was visible near the top of the opening. I removed the hex head screws with a 1/4" nut driver so the ice door assembly was free. The core control board was hidden... Read more

My fridge was too cold - everything was freezing solid, even in the produce bins. The air from the diffuser vent was constantly running. After unplugging the fridge and plugging it back in, the diagnostic code on the control panel indicated that the air diffuser was not working. I purchased a new air diffuser, watched the very helpful video that showed how to install it, and replaced the part in about 10 minutes. The next day, I can tell that everything in my fridge has finally begun to thaw... Read more
Plastic tube that delivers water from the supply line to the ice maker assembly. Replace if cracked, split, burst, or leaking inside the freezer.
All this occurred after our utility had to cut off our water for 2-3 hours. We almost ordered a new ice maker, but thankfully someone had their repair story posted. Based on that story, we ordered a new ice maker supply line and a new water inlet valve for our Kitchen Aid refrigerator. After turning off the water to the refrigerator we noticed that the water supply line had almost burst right above the ice maker, so we thawed that out with a hair dryer, then replaced that line first. Removed... Read more
