I could hear the dryer motor hum, but it would not run. There was nothing obstructing the motor from turning freely so I assumed I needed a new motor. I went ahead and ordered a new pulley switch to change out while I was in there just in case. The parts arrived faster than expected. I changed the switch first and then checked the old motor which surprisingly fired right up. Now I have to decide whether to return the new motor or keep it as a spare. Read more

This metal mounting plate supports the dryer door strike/catch interface. It provides a solid anchor point so the door latches securely, helping the dryer start and run only when the door is properly closed.
We ordered a door switch, dryer latch and strike plate. We realized that we only needed to replace the door switch. We watched a few videos and then replaced the switch. We couldn’t find a video for our model but they did give us a pretty good idea about what we needed to do. The hardest part was getting the original door switch out, all of the videos we watched showed us that it would pop out with a little pressure from a flat head screw driver, from the front of the switch. We could not get... Read more
The Kit Felt and Instruction is an OEM part for GE dryers. This kit includes felt seals and instructions necessary for installation. The felt seals help create a barrier between the drum and the front panel, retaining heat inside the dryer and ensuring efficient drying. Our GE front loader dryer is approximately 10 years old. It started making a loud noise. Before we sank another $600 for a new dryer, I decided to go online to search Youtube videos to try to find out if anyone else had the same problem. I found that a lot of dryers had drum support bearings that wore out and needed to be replaced and a lot of dryers were also having clothes caught up in them. I then found an Appliance Parts Pro video on how to fix this problem and found out what parts... Read more

I ordered two new baffles and 7 screws. I also ordered 6 large washers. We were running with one baffle held by only 2 of 3 screws. It appears that a repairman in the past had removed the large washers and over time, the screw heads reamed out the hole, causing the baffles to detach and break. In about 15 minutes, I was able to tighten up the existing baffle and add the two new ones. I also added the 6 big washers to help strengthen this to prevent future issues. I no longer have to listen to... Read more
