This PTC start relay mounts on the refrigerator compressor and briefly energizes the start winding, then automatically opens as it warms. Replacing a weak relay helps restore reliable compressor starts and consistent cooling. What it does:
I bought this relay switch and it works great. On the left side of the compressor there is a plastic cover you pry off with a screw driver. The relay switch had one wire plug on it. Just pull the wire off and the pull the relay switch off the compressor. Read more
This flip-up dairy door covers the refrigerator's dairy compartment. Replace a cracked or missing cover to keep butter, cheese, and other small items organized and protected while restoring a clean, finished look to the fresh food door.
I did not have the model number of the refrigerator! I looked everywhere, but I think it had been ripped off. This left me with the difficult task of trying to look through pictures of dairy doors and freezer shelves, armed with only the approximate dimensions of the pieces. I checked the the Q 'n' A sections for several parts and this helped immensely. I was able to find someone who had the same dimensions listed and I knew, based on the answer provided, which part to order. Thank you for... Read more
The defrost timer governs the automatic defrost cycle, periodically switching the refrigerator from cooling to defrost. Replacing a failed timer restores reliable defrosting to limit frost buildup and help maintain steady, consistent temperatures. What it does:

The Compressor Overload and Start Relay is an OEM part for GE refrigerators. It plays a crucial role in starting the refrigerator’s compressor and protecting it from electrical overloads.
Over time, these components can fail due to electrical wear, overheating, or repeated cycling. This can cause the refrigerator to malfunction or stop working altogether.
Symptoms of a bad compressor overload and start relay include:
This GE replacement part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.
I did some research. Found a comment on this website... shake the ptc component it was ratteling... there's a ceramic disc inside the ptc. if broken, this could be the source for the ratteling sound. Sure enough that was happening... one new ptc later an all is good. Ran fridge for 3 days now... no issues It was gamble, took it.. and came out ahead. The capicitor looked as if was OK... it was not buldging... no obvious burnt marks anywhere. Tricky part was getting the 'bale' wire reattached... Read more
Restore accurate cooling with this refrigerator temperature control thermostat. The cold control senses compartment temperature and opens or closes the circuit to cycle the cooling system, helping maintain your selected setting when the original control becomes unreliable.

This freezer shelf assembly restores stable, level storage space in the freezer compartment. Replace a cracked or missing shelf to keep food organized and maintain proper spacing for consistent cold-air circulation.
I ordered a new Freezer Shelf Assembly, from AppliancePartsPros.com. which arrived very quickly. Read more
This reversible door plug fills the unused mounting hole when you switch the door swing on your refrigerator. It restores a finished appearance and helps keep air and moisture from entering through the opening.
This defrost timer cycles the refrigerator in and out of defrost at set intervals. By powering the defrost heater and then returning to cooling, it clears frost from the evaporator so airflow and temperatures remain stable.

This power cord assembly supplies electrical power from the wall outlet to your refrigerator. Replace a cut, frayed, or overheated cord to restore safe, reliable operation and eliminate intermittent power loss caused by a damaged cord. What it does:
Spliced new and old power cord near the connections in the fridge and connected them. Didn't mess with the factory harnesses or connections inside actual fridge. Read more
This replacement clamp secures lines or components inside the refrigerator, keeping them properly routed and stable. Replacing a broken or missing clamp helps reduce vibration and prevents rubbing damage or leaks from loose tubing. What it does:
I replaced all the parts on the back of the refrigerator (tube from valve, water fill assembly, and tube clamp). There is a secondary water fill tube inside the freezer which comes loose when you take the fill assembly off. It fell into the cabinet and I had to remove the ice maker to ensure I got it back on correctly, took an extra five or less minutes. Read more
This compressor overload protects the refrigerator's compressor by cutting power if it overheats or draws excessive current. When it fails, the compressor may not start and the fridge can warm up while you hear repeated clicking from the rear.

This plastic water tube routes water inside your refrigerator to the dispenser and/or ice maker. Replacing a cracked, brittle, or leaking tube restores proper water flow and helps prevent leaks and water damage.
I checked the water supply to the solenoid valve and it was okay, but no water was getting passed the valve. I checked the 115 vac signal from the ice maker to the valve and it was present. Unfortunately I did not know to depress the white fitting on the outlet of the valve to release the line to the ice maker so I cut it, and had to purchase a replacement. A new valve arrived from Appliance Part Pros and was installed as well as a new line and clamp. By this time some moisture had frozen in... Read more
This refrigerator defrost thermostat senses evaporator temperature and controls power to the defrost heater. It helps prevent ice buildup and overheating so the unit can defrost properly and maintain steady, efficient cooling.
Busqué en YouTube para ver qué sería el problema y encontré que ere el bimetal y compre la parte y lo cambien, fue muy fácil y mi refrigerador está trabajando muy bien. Problema resuelto. Read more
This factory screw secures brackets, panels, and internal components so assemblies stay tight and aligned. Replace a missing or damaged fastener to eliminate rattles, looseness, and misaligned parts. What it does:
Replacement went good. The fan was perfect match. I am glad I ordered the two grommets, because the other ones were worn. I found this when dismantling. The blade was replaced as well. Read more
