I removed the door, mostly so we could really clean the all the nooks and cranny's of the stove, and make the handle and gasket replacement easier. Attaching the new handle was not difficult, but did require some minor door dis-assembly. Removing the old gasket and putting on the new gasket was a breeze. Hex head screws for securing panels and components in ranges and ovens. Replace missing, stripped, or corroded fasteners during repairs or reassembly.

So, in the process of a kitchen remodel my GC managed to lose *both* of the rear plastic supports for my GE stove! The drawer was totally unsupported without the brackets.
