I ordered a broiler element, watched the video and replaced the element when it arrived. I turned off the electrical breaker to the stove/oven. I then removed the oven door from the hinges and removed the 1/4" square head screws that secured the element in place,( the video showed phillip head screws ), removed the element wires from the old element. Took top apart to find out that the problem was just the lens for the light was broken. Come to find out that the lens is what holds the light in place. When the lens broke the light fell down into the base of the cooktop. I bought a light and lens but for the price I could not go wrong. I cannot believe how fast and easy my order was handled!! Move stove to unplug, remove rear center panel, indentify the two spade connectors that feed the heating element and remove (unplug) them. Remove two screws that hold the element to the inside rear wall of the stove and remove element. Install new element, plug in the previously removed spade connectors, re-install rear center panel, plug range (power) in, move stove back into place and enjoy. Read more

I went on appliancepartspros.com to order glass. Glass arrived but didn't fit. Turns out GE has different part # system that i (of course) didn't know. Called appliancepartspros.com they informed me how this happened and how they would correct it by sending out the correct glass with another order.
