Run Capacitor
Genuine Frigidaire part
By: Frigidaire
Part Number: 297286802

The Run Capacitor is an OEM part for Frigidaire refrigerators. It helps maintain a consistent electrical current to the compressor, ensuring efficient operation and optimal cooling performance.

Causes of a bad run capacitor can include electrical surges, prolonged use leading to wear and tear, or physical damage. A failing capacitor can lead to the compressor running inefficiently or not at all, affecting the refrigerator's ability to maintain the desired temperature.

Symptoms of a bad run capacitor include:

  • The refrigerator not cooling properly
  • The compressor not starting or running inconsistently
  • Clicking sounds coming from the refrigerator
  • The refrigerator cycling on and off frequently

Door Gasket
Genuine Frigidaire part
By: Frigidaire
Part Number: 3206261

The Door Gasket is an OEM part for Frigidaire refrigerators. This part seals the gap between the refrigerator or freezer door and the appliance body. This seal is critical for maintaining the cold air inside the appliance, ensuring that it runs efficiently and keeps food at the proper temperature.

Causes of a bad Door Gasket can range from natural wear and tear over time, which can cause the material to degrade and lose its elasticity, to accidental damage from cleaning or use.

Symptoms of a bad Door Gasket include:

  • Noticeable gaps or tears in the gasket, leading to air leaks.
  • Condensation or frost buildup inside the refrigerator, indicating air leaks.
  • The refrigerator runs more frequently or for longer periods, trying to maintain the set temperature.
  • Increased energy consumption due to the appliance working harder to cool the interior.

This OEM Frigidaire part is also compatible with Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator and some Kenmore models.

This part fixes the following symptoms
  • Frost buildup

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You The door seal had failed   Paul F. • Salina , KS • October 11, 2014

Ordered a very expensive piece of plastic in hopes it would prevent me from trashing an expensive and old freezer. Followed the instructions and the new gasket fit very easily. I used the hair dryer to reform the gasket per instructions. Although the gasket does seal, the freezer no longer has the vacum seal swoosh that was with the original gasket. Will watch and make sure the gasket does seal and the freezer does freeze. Read more

Guide Yoke (Guide)
Genuine Whirlpool part
By: Whirlpool
Part Number: WP69715-1

This guide yoke is a replacement guide that supports and guides a moving assembly so the appliance part moves smoothly and stays aligned. Replacing a worn guide yoke restores reliable, quiet operation and reduces binding or misalignment. What it does:

  • Guides and stabilizes a sliding or pivoting component to maintain proper alignment
  • Helps prevent rubbing, binding, or uneven movement of the associated assembly
  • Reduces noise caused by worn or damaged guide surfaces
  • Restores smooth operation when the original guide is cracked, bent, or excessively worn
What's included:
  • One (1) guide yoke
Install notes:
  • Disconnect power (and gas where applicable) before servicing to prevent shock or injury
  • Access the mounting location by removing the relevant panel or assembly
  • Install new guide in the same orientation; secure fasteners snugly but do not overtighten
  • Test the moving assembly for smooth operation before reassembling panels
