The Evaporator Fan Motor is an OEM part for Whirlpool refrigerators. This motor circulates air over the evaporator coils and throughout the refrigerator and freezer compartments, ensuring consistent cooling and maintaining optimal temperatures. By moving air efficiently, the evaporator fan motor helps prevent frost buildup and keeps food fresh.
Causes of a bad evaporator fan motor can include electrical malfunctions, worn-out bearings, or damage from ice accumulation. Continuous operation over time can lead to wear and tear, resulting in decreased performance or complete motor failure.
Symptoms of a bad Evaporator Fan Motor include:
- The refrigerator or freezer not cooling properly
- Unusual or loud noises emanating from the fan area
- The fan not spinning when the refrigerator is running
- Frost buildup inside the freezer compartment
This OEM part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.
