Fastening screw for securing components inside appliances. Replaces lost, stripped, or damaged screws during repairs or part installations.
Bought and installed new hinges. Repair took about an hour but I also cleaned all the glass inside and out on both oven doors. I had ordered extra screws as I read the old ones that hold the hinges were hard to get in as they were self taping but the screw labeled 5 next to the hinge were not the right ones. All old screws worked fine. You just need to put a little power to them to get them started. Easy repair. Read more

Burner won't ignite or flame is weak? This orifice holder aligns the burner orifice and electrode for reliable ignition. Moderate DIY, 30-60 minutes.
The top had to be removed but with the unit being 14 years old, galvanic corrosion had seized the screws holding the Burner Heads to the Orifices. I carefully drilled out the heads of the screws until the Burner heads could be pulled free. I removed the two screws that held the Burner control assembly with all the gas valves in place. If you open the top oven, there are two last screws that thread straight up into the top. So 14 screws in all. I ordered 10 new screws along with the Orifices... Read more

Broiler won't light or takes too long to ignite? This range broil burner igniter provides the spark to light your oven's broil flame. DIY install.
This range is 12 years old. We noticed it would take 10 minutes to start heating up. A YouTube search revealed this a common problem with this Maytag range. I decided to replace all three ignitors as all behaved similarly. Took about an hour and a half- only because my hands do not work as well as they used to. I pulled the range, disconnected the gas and electric and swapped out the parts. Everything working like new. I went with OEM- I did not want to mess with connections Read more

Fix inaccurate oven temperatures or heating issues with this temperature sensor. Measures cavity heat and signals the control board. Easy DIY repair.
Replaced igniter with new one from AppliancePartsPros.com. The repair was easy following the video from their website. A few things were a little different but was able to figure it out. Also was warned that there might be wire nuts instead of a connector. Which there was but just cut and stripped the wire. Oven is like new again. Read more

Fix burner ignition issues with this range orifice holder assembly. Includes spark electrode and orifice for proper gas flow. Common when converting fuel types.
I had to drill out the screws that hold down the burner plates which also mount to the orifice holders because all of the screws had rusted tight and could not be loosened. The drilling out part was fairly easy and once I had removed the burner plates, I could easily lift the stove top off and get access to the orifice holders to replace all of them. I purchased new stainless steel self-threading screws from our local hardware store and re-assembled the new orifice holders and existing burner... Read more

Fix continuous sparking ignition caused by debris entering switches. This control knob grommet seals the panel opening around the valve shaft. 5-minute install.
I disconnected the downdraft exhaust pipe and unplugged the stove. I lifted up the stove and rested, supported it over the opening with a few pieces of scrap lumber. Opening the stove, I found all 4 switches dirty. After disconnecting one-at-a-time, I found the faulty switch. Shopping for a replacement, I noticed a parts diagram showing grommets around the knobs. My stove was missing all the grommets, allowing debris to gunk up the switches. Since switches are expensive, I cleaned mine in... Read more
Burners won't spark or ignite? This igniter switch assembly restores reliable ignition to gas burners. Most DIYers complete this repair in 20-30 minutes.
A few weeks back, when shutting off a burner, the igniter started sparking and wouldn't stop. Working the knobs and jiggling them got it to stop. Fast forward a few weeks. Finish cooking, go sit down to eat. Hear snapping noise, go look, see burners are all off and the igniters are all sparking. Jiggle the knobs. Poof! Flames come out the top one! What a stink. Unplugged stove, finished dinner. Loosened the cooktop and investigated. Ordered switch. Two days later, part arrives. Two screws... Read more
