This handguard is made to be used on several models of chainsaws by major lawn and garden manufacturers. The purpose of the handguard is to engage the chain brake if it is pushed forward. A secondary function of the handguard is to protect the user's hands from an injury that could be caused by the bar and chain on the chainsaw. The part is made of durable plastic but can become damaged over time, through use, or impact.A visual inspection will show if the handguard has become cracked, fallen off, or is broken in other ways. If this occurs, the handguard will need to be replaced before using the chainsaw. The replacement should be done while using work gloves. Place the chainsaw on a flat surface and remove the spark plug wire first. A socket set and a screwdriver can be used to remove the old handguard. Install the new one and reassemble other parts before use. This is a genuine OEM replacement part directly sourced from the manufacturer. It's sold as an individual part. The component is designed for use with chainsaws manufactured by Poulan, Poulan Pro, and Craftsman.

A primer bulb is a small rubber button-like component. This essential part pulls fuel through the fuel line and helps fill the carburetor with the right amount of fuel. Pressing the primer bulb will start the fuel flow and combustion. The primer bulb makes starting the engine easier, and without it, undue stress will be placed on the carburetor. There should be a slight resistance when pushing it and it should pop back out after depressing it. If the primer bulb is cracked or is not creating proper suction, replacement is necessary. The rubber material will eventually harden and crack over time. Stale fuel can also cause primer bulb deterioration. To replace a primer bulb, it is best to consult the equipment's manual for diagrams that show the bulb's placement. This is an OEM part made from high-quality material and is manufacturer-approved for use as a replacement. It can be used in lawn maintenance equipment such as string trimmers, leaf blowers, chainsaws, and pole pruners from brands like Craftsman, Husqvarna, Weed Eater, Poulan, and Poulan Pro.
The chainsaw carburetor mixes air and gas before this mixture makes its way to the engine. If this is not working correctly, the engine receives a less efficient gas supply or no gas supply at all. If your chainsaw has a full tank of gas but will not start or stops just after starting, the carburetor may need to be replaced. While carburetors can be cleaned to get them working again, they often need to be replaced if they have become too clogged. Depending on what you can reuse from your old carburetor, you may need to order new gaskets as well to ensure an airtight seal. A screwdriver, a nut driver, and a socket wrench set may be needed to complete this repair. This chainsaw carburetor is sold individually from other parts, but it does include the primer bulb. It is compatible with Craftsman and Poulan chainsaws. This chainsaw carburetor is a genuine OEM part.

Sometimes known as a chain tensioner, this kit is used to adjust the bar of a chainsaw, pruner, or pole saw to increase or decrease the amount of tension in the chain. Having an overly tense chain can cause friction with the bar, which could lead to an engine fire. A chain that is too loose has a chance of kicking back or even losing the chain mid-use, which would be incredibly dangerous. Chains naturally become looser over time, so be sure to regularly check the status of the chain. Having the right amount of tension is critical for the saw to work properly. Making adjustments is easy with our genuine OEM bar adjustment kit sourced straight from the manufacturer. Simply remove the clutch cover and find the adjustment assembly in the cover. Remove it and thread the new chain tensioner onto the assembly. Reassemble the clutch cover and be sure to line up all the corresponding parts. Compatible with Craftsman, Husqvarna, Poulan, and Poulan Pro. This part is shipped individually and only a screwdriver is needed to make this repair.
A fuel line fitting connects two separate sections of the fuel line. Over time and continued use, even durable fuel lines can become cracked, split, or broken, leading to leaks and the need for repair. If you have a fuel line that is separated or severely damaged, a fuel line fitting can be used to make a simple repair that can save you time and money. Depending on where in the equipment the damaged fuel line is, the repair steps can vary. Several fuel line fittings may be needed depending on the severity of the equipment’s damage. This repair will require a nut driver, forceps, a pair of pliers, screwdrivers, and a socket set to complete. This plastic fuel line fitting is compatible with numerous small engines for lawn and garden maintenance like leaf blowers, hedge trimmers, or chainsaws that are manufactured by many brands, like Husqvarna, Jonsered, Poulan, and Weed Eater. This fuel line fitting is a genuine OEM part.
This clutch washer kid includes a clutch, a washer, and a clip. A washer helps to protect the engine from unwanted pressure at the joint where two parts connect. Washers help to spread the pressure evenly so that the fastener doesn’t move, which would cause corrosion and friction. Washers can wear down or corrode over time, leading to unwanted pressure in the chainsaw’s engine. Based on the location of this washer, replacing it may require different steps to take apart the engine. Be sure that the engine has cooled completely before attempting any repairs. This part is compatible with Poulan and Craftsman chainsaws and is a genuine OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer.
The starter spring is what is used to create the recoil to start the engine on pull-start chainsaws, blowers, trimmers, and other lawn equipment. When the starter handle is pulled, the rope extends and pulls on the spring, causing it to tighten and then release, which creates the action to fire the motor. It may also be called the recoil spring, rewind spring, or return spring, but they all refer to the starter spring. Over time, this can become worn with use, and in some situations, it can even break completely. If the starter rope will not rewind into the housing, the spring may be twisted and need to be replaced. If so, this genuine OEM starter spring will do the job for compatible machines. This model is manufactured by Husqvarna and compatible with various Poulan and Husqvarna lawn equipment. This spring may serve as a replacement for many machines including blowers, hedge trimmers, grass trimmers, chain saws, and saws. Check the user manual for compatibility and fit, as well as part numbers. Be sure to install this according to all instructions and diagrams for safe and proper operation.
This is a bar bolt used with several types of lawn and garden equipment. It is used to secure the bar to the housing of the unit. The metal bolt is made with durable components but corrosion, damage, or wear and tear can necessitate replacement. The bar bolt can also become stripped or fall apart and create issues with other components staying together. If the bar bolt appears to be damaged, has been lost, or is broken, it needs to be replaced. The replacement process will require a wrench since the bolt is designed with a hex head. Before making the replacement, make sure the equipment has been turned off and placed on a stable surface. Wearing work gloves, remove the old bar bolt before placing the new replacement component. This is a genuine OEM replacement part that has been sourced directly from the manufacturer. It is sold as an individual bolt. The bar bolt is designed to be used with string trimmers, pole prunes, and chainsaws manufactured by Poulan, Poulan Pro, Husqvarna, and Craftsman.
This wire harness assembly is an authentic replacement for chainsaws. It is supplied from the manufacturer. The wire harness assembly connects to the ignition module. It is made of two wires. One of the wires carries the power from the coil to the switch, while the other wire attaches to the engine ground on one side and has a switch contact on the other side. The wires have a rubber insulated coating that helps to protect them from high heat. These wires can suffer damage in many ways. They could become frayed or cut, they could have been subject to extremely high temperatures, and more. When they are damaged, it can cause a continuity loss in the circuit which can shut off the saw. Owners should look for broken or frayed wires. They can also use a multimeter to check the wires for continuity. If there are issues, the wires should be replaced right away. The chainsaw wire harness assembly is a genuine OEM replacement part for use with chainsaws. The assembly is sold individually. It will work with select chainsaws from Craftsman, Husqvarna, Poulan, and Poulan Pro.
I replaced the ignition module and flywheel. While I had it open, I also replaced the hub starter which was a cause of the pull starter slipping a bit. The flywheel is "pressed" on, but there are numerous videos on the internet on how to quickly and safely remove it using simple hand tools and likewise, how to adjust the clearance between the module and the flywheel. The case screws look like they are "star driver" needy, but my slot is cut in them which will accommodate a medium, #2 flat blade... Read more
This chain brake is made to connect above the drum of a chainsaw. It has a metal band that goes around the drum and a handguard that also connects to the brake. When the guard is pressed forward, the brake band tightens on the clutch drum, making the chain stop immediately. The brake is pre-assembled and consists of both metal and plastic parts. The spring, brake band, and linkage are all metal, and the housing is plastic. A common chain brake problem is the brake band becoming worn out or damaged. This causes the brake to no longer stop the chain fast enough or at all. This can be incredibly dangerous, so it’s important to check the brake regularly. Installing a new chain brake is straightforward with this genuine OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer. Just remove the clutch cover assembly, take off the old chain brake, and screw in the new kit. Be sure to wear gloves and let the engine cool completely before making repairs. Compatible with Craftsman, Poulan, and Poulan Pro chainsaws. Sold individually.
Took the side cover off, noticed the chain brake assembly was damaged from the heat. Also after removing the clip securing the clutch drum I couldn't remove it. Had to use my biggest flat head screwdriver to force the drum off. The inner bearing was shot and the outer rim was worn with a lip on the bottom, reason it wouldn't come off the clutch. Because the parts were so worn out disassembly was difficult, but the new parts went on quickly. Soon I was back in business and the saw is working... Read more
