The start button had been tricky to use. You had to push it in just a certain way to get the dryer to start. Eventually it was non-responsive. All other controls worked and there was no error code displayed. The repair was to replace the whole control board which cost around $100. Heavy sigh.. Be sure to keep track of all your screws. In order it SHOULD be done: Pried off two white caps covering the screws that attach the flap to the left door, then removed screws. Lifted flap up to remove from door and disconnected cable. Used a thin blade to pry out the inner cover of the flap, then carefully pried out the insulation piece inside. Loosened the screw holding the center cap from the inside and removed cap. I looked at the blow up drawing to figure out what parts I might need. I then watched a you tube video to see how to take the handle off. I kind of figured out on my own how to remove the ruined cap handle. It took me a few minutes to figure it out and more time to remove both the handle and the broken part. Unplug all the plugs to the main control board and switched to the new control board. Works perfect thank you. These days you have to do stuff yourself. Everything is getting so expensive. Removed Phillips head screw from bottom side. Next I removed front electronic interface panel, carefully. The plastic clips holding it in place are designed to pop lose on the right side first.then unplug wiring from back of interface panel. Remove two Phillips head screws holding ice/water dispensing unit in place. Carefully remove dispensing unit from leaving multiple wiring plugs connected. Carefully apply pressure to the side of the ice chute door frame to remove the ice chute door/flap.... Read more

Entire Samsung Ice Master is modular. Ordered the "ASSY CASE-FAN AUGER MOTO " part and replaced original...Removed ice basket. Removed Cover-Wire Harness by removing screw and unplugged both the modular icemaker and part mentioned above. Icemaker is removed by sliding forward and down. The "ASSY CASE-FAN AUGER MOTO" part at back of ice compartment is held in by plastic clip on bottom of compartment. No screws to remove...just lift up clip and slide forward. Removed refrigerator panel, disconnected light and fan power. Removed fan assembly and replaced motor, grommets and fan attachment spring. Unit had adhesive on spring to help hold the spring. Chatted with customer service and clarified that spring and fan would easily pull off motor shaft. Adhesive probably was extra measure used during original build of the fridge. Noise was due to fan rubbing on housing. New fan position set to avoid any rubbing. Read more

Replaced Case Water Filter assembly DA81-05883A. Please read my post entirely before starting. I completed all the tasks that I could without having to disconnect the refrigerator since it was full of food. Ordered the pieces from here. Downloaded the user manual. I never work on appliances but I couldn't justify the $200 a service tech would have charged to fix a $35 part. Followed the manual and removed the door. Replaced the broken plastic pieces. BE VERY CAREFUL not to strip the screws. I did and that's another story. Very easy to fix. You will need a second person to help guide the door back onto the frame. Read more
