After we saw that progressively our dishes were not getting clean we investigated the condition of the spray arms and this upper feed tube assembly. We found a huge crack on the side of this piece and new not enough water was getting to the arms. We also noticed a build up of soap and lime. So we ran a cycle of vinegar and sprayed the filters and arms with lime-off-sprayed them out with a air hose "completely". Many of the small pieces of lime will clog the holes in the spray arms. Using instructions I obtained over the internet, I first removed the DW's bottom cover panels so I could look inside the DW (with a flashlight) while it was running. I had to put their dishwasher through several wash cycles before I could pinpoint the location of the leak. WE replaced the drain pump and it still wouldn't drain sometimes. Finally we realized that the drain hose wasn't the correct bosch hose and the rubber was starting to bend and kink where it went through the hole to under the sink.So we bought the drain hose and replaced. Read more

Took door off, saw that dispenser linkage was ok, I could open and close by hand, so figured the wax motor or the wiring to it were most likely the problem. I took off the wax motor ( actuator) and ran 120 volts to it via jumper wires, and it did not move at all, so figured good chance that was the problem. Our Bosch suddenly quit washing the dishes properly after 15 years of faithful service. I observed that there was no pressure coming from the sprayers, and determined it to be the circulating pump. I could reach into the pump from inside the dishwasher and could feel that something was loose in there - the impeller moved when pumping, but I could stop it with my finger. Very easy to replace, as there are only two clips to flip up, and remove the sprayer arm. The new part was place on the water supply (hub), and cliped into place. Voila! Works like new again! Read more

I replaced both the door seal and the lower door seal. The lower seal was a bigger job and I used a number of YouTube videos to walk me through it. It was a pain, but it worked. Had I called the appliance store the following would have happened - After a week they come out and verify, yet it is leaking and they will need to come back in a week or so after ordering parts. The wash arms and filters were plugged with calcium and no longer spraying. Needless to say this impacts cleaning. The replacement parts were top quality and fit perfect. This simple replacement of parts put new life in trusty Bosch. Read more
