Channels dryer exhaust to external vent connection. Replace if rusted, leaking, or screen is damaged to restore proper airflow and drying performance.
My son and I took the back panel off the dryer and found that the dryer was full of lint. It was very dirty and probably explains why the dryer had no been working as well. We cleaned the dryer out, took off the old air duct assembly and replaced it with the new one. We also replaced the old dryer hose while we had it pulled out. The repair was very easy, simply a matter of unscrewing screws and then reattaching them. Based on how dirty the dryer was it is probably a good idea to check the... Read more
4-wire power cord connects your electric dryer to a 4-prong household outlet. Replace a worn, damaged, or overheated cord to restore safe power connection.
I previously ordered the heating element, thermostat, and fuse. Also the rear drum rollers. However, after completing that repair I noticed that the terminal block and power cord had some damage from an apparent overheating while allowing the dryer to continue to run in order to dry the clothes. Secures the lint duct assembly inside your dryer to prevent rattling and keep items from reaching the blower wheel. Replace if bent, broken, or missing.
There's a metal piece that the lint filter pushes down into that got bent a bit I guess and ended up skewering the lint filter. I got it loose but couldn't get the metal piece to stay where it was supposed to be to operate without catching the lint filter. I think it's there to prevent things like socks from hitting the blower wheel. When the new part came in I had to take the front cover off the blower wheel. It was easier than I thought, just three bolts/screws. Don't bother taking off... Read more

Hardware washer provides stable bearing surface and proper spacing in dryer assemblies. Replace when worn or missing to maintain alignment and reduce vibration.
I did a troubleshooting search using the model number of my dryer. That led me to AppliancePartsPros.com. The information on the site said that the most likely cause was that the idler pulley system needed to be replaced. I watched the video on how to do the repair and decided to try repairing it myself. The parts arrived within 3 days. It took me, a novice, much longer to complete the repair than estimated but that was not a problem. I managed to replace the system (just 3 parts) and put the...
