PROBLEM - MY LG RANGE (LRE3091ST) STARTED TO HEAT BUT WOULD NOT GET TO THE FULL TEMP, IT SHUT OFF & GAVE US AN F-11 CODE. I did a little research on the internet. I check to make sure it was getting power with Ohm meter. I took the front panel off to see what I could find. I found 2 dead roaches in the control board box and there was some brown stuff on the control board. I checked the price to replace the part online and local. AppliancePartsPros had the best price and return policy. I figured I had nothing to lose be trying the part out to see if it would work. I installed the new board and it was alive again.... Replaced control panel and overlay it was very easy. Just four screws and a few connectors.. If you plan on replacing the control board be sure to order a new overlay also. It makes the repair so much easier. Read more

About a year ago, the washer was doing a similar thing, where it would shut off before the spin cycle started. The coin trap was completely clogged then, so I checked it first this time. It was clear, so I took the drain pump out and checked that as well. Nothing seemed to be physically wrong with the machine, so I put it in diagnostic mode, which gave me error code 43 when I tried the spin cycle. This one of the codes for a bad control board. The most challenging part of this was determining what the problem was. At first I thought the clutch (or related parts) had worn out, but by chance, I pulled on the timer knob, and the machine started spinning. When I let it go, it stopped. NOTE: This had happened 3 years earlier, while the unit was still under warranty thankfully, but the certified repairman told me it would have cost me "out of pocket" over $400.00 to replace.
