Burned or damaged terminal block causing power loss? This connection point fixes arcing, sparking, and burnt wire issues. DIY repair with basic tools.
I determined the hidden bake element below the oven cavity was not working, because the bottom of the oven was cold during normal use. If you have a built-in microwave + oven combination (mine is KitchenAid Model No. KEMS308SSS05), this is a difficult repair. The engineer who designed this oven should be invited to succeed elsewhere. It is impossible to access the bake element from the inside of the oven, so the How To video associated with this part will not help you. I had to remove the... Read more

Burner not heating or heating unevenly? This dual radiant surface element restores consistent heat to both rings. DIY-friendly, installs in 15 minutes.
It was a simple process to enter the model number of our glass cook top stove; learn the part number required and order. It arrived in 2-days -- least expensive shipping method. The cooktop was removed with a Phillips-head screwdriver by 4 small sheet metal screws on the right and left side of the oven. The oven's power to the cooktop was easily disconnected via two "clips" and one ground. Would have cost way more with an appliance repair shop and it's an easy do-it-yourself repair. Read more
Replace your cracked, broken, or damaged cooktop glass surface panel. This durable heat-resistant platform installs as the main cooking surface.
I turned off the breaker to the Cook top, I then got under the counter and pushed the cook top through the opening in the counter, placed the cook top over the opening on the counter to stabilize it and then I used a Phillip head screwdriver removed all the screws , lifted the broken glass and put on the new glass, replaced the screws, placed the cook top back into the opening on the counter and turned back on the breaker. I need the foam tape that goes around the edge of the glass and didn't... Read more
Oven light won't turn on? This light transformer steps down voltage to power your oven cavity lights. Moderate DIY repair restores illumination.
Studied schematics and watched many on-line videos. Did some electrical checks with VOM (Volt/Ohm Meter). Determined that control panel thermal fuse attached to back of control panel had opened due to high temp. Determined that the upper oven thermal fuse on back of oven had opened due to high temp. Seals cooktop to countertop, preventing gaps and noise. Replace when installing or reinstalling your cooktop. Verify fit with your model number.
I read different reviews and believed the problem was most likely the switch had failed. I confirmed the proper switch for my Model number with a very helpful Pro and ordered a new roll of tape that protects the glass top and seals the union of glass to the counter. In my case, the cooktop did not have any flanges stabilizing the cooktop so I could remove a drawer below the cooktop and push up on the cooktop to separate it from the counter. It was simply removing screws with a nut driver or... Read more

Within 6 months of use of the switch on the large dual element of the left front unit, the switch came loose from the mounting plate and would not allow the switch operation. It took me over 10 years to decide to fix it. The new switch was totally redesigned and was attached to the mounting plate directly with the small screws instead of using the mounting plate pressed onto small plastic horns on the switch, which ultimately failed when the user likely used too much downward pressure on the...
