After reading other folk's comments on making this repair, I got a good general idea of how to do this repair. Just go slow, take your time. Tried to turn the microwave on, checked the outlet for power, check the breaker to see if it was tripped, all was in order. I ordered the support. Once we removed the old one, we noticed that the top support was also cracked and so we decided to replace that one as well before it broke off completely. Using a putty knife, I removed the black liner around the inside of the door that exposed the microwave inside the glass.
