Dishwasher won't drain or shows 5E error? This drain pump removes standing water. Access from underneath, about 1-2 hours to replace. Video available.
Since my Samsung Dishwasher would not drain and had a flashing quick light, I removed the racks and both spray wands. Which allowed me to remove the lower screen assembly. This revealed a worn and broken check valve and broken grinder blade. I cleaned the inside of the dishwasher and removed the unit from under the counter. I removed and cleaned the brake assembly ( large transparent plastic section on left side of the dishwasher). I cleaned this for preventive maintenance by taking the float... Read more

After researching the Internet, I thought the drainage hoses were my problem. First I changed both drainage hoses. That didn’t solve the problem. I had to look for another area that was causing water to drip into the pan. I found water leaking from behind the brake assembly. Since I didn’t get an oE error code, I eliminated the brake assembly as causing my problem. I ordered a brake gasket and cover. Once I got it properly installed, problem solved! Read more
Replacement nozzle assembly that connects spray arm to water feed tube. Needed when nozzle is cracked, broken, or keeps falling off during wash cycles.
I replaced both items. I lifted the racks out for clearance. with a small screwdriver, I flexed the flat springs holding the whole tube assembly. It came right out. Using the screwdriver, I popped the nozzle off, put the new one. I flexed the flat springs a little back into line to be able to hold the whole tube assembly, put the assembly back in, and pushed the spray arm onto the nozzle. Put racks in. done. Took less time than it did to write this fix it paragraph. Read more

Research indicated that it may be a moisture sensor failure or a leak. It ended up being a leak from the oil seal on the motor shaft. A small piece of plastic made it's way into the system. The hot water softened it enough that it wrapped around the motor shaft, re-hardened, then tore into the shaft seal. I fixed it by replacing the shaft seal, moisture sensor (corrodes when it gets wet), and replaced the sump seal since I had it disassembled. Read more
Ensures watertight seal in dishwasher pump assembly. Replace when stretched, torn, or leaking to maintain cleaning performance. Confirm fit with model.
While waiting for a replacement PCB, I cleaned the filter and soaked up the remaining water in the tub (dishwasher died mid-cycle) which entailed removing the dishwasher mesh filter and cover assembly of the pump assembly. The filter seal in the cover assembly and seal in the case scroll popped out. These two gaskets (seals) somehow had stretched and were very difficult to keep in their tracks while reassembling the pump assembly after cleaning. Replacement gaskets fit much better than the... If rinse aid is leaking or the cap is broken, this dishwasher rinse aid dispenser cap restores proper release. Moderate DIY repair for most users.
Removing the door panel was easy -- remove 6 Torx screws, and the panel falls off. Next you need to remove an electrical plug and 2 individual wires from the old dispenser. The plug came right off, but the wires were not easy to access, and they fought me more than I expected. With some pliers and wiggling, they eventually let go and came free. The dispenser is held in place with 6 Phillips screws through 2 removable metal brackets, and those came out easily. The toughest part of the job... Read more
