Oven not heating or baking unevenly? The bake element generates heat for baking. Most DIYers replace it in 10-15 minutes with a screwdriver.
I ordered the part I was sure I needed through the Appliance Pro website. I was surprised the part arrived in just two days. FIRST UNPLUG THE OVEN.. I removed the baking racks then two screws holding the plate over the element. I then removed three screws holding the old element in place, then gently wiggle/pull the element free from the electrical connections in the back of the oven. (Note: You cannot see the connections at this point. You'll need to remove the terminal block cover on the... Read more
Replaces dim, flickering, or burnt-out bulbs in refrigerators, ovens, and microwaves. Restores interior lighting for visibility. Verify fit with model.
I have a Jennair jjw9630cas double wall oven, and after a few years I noticed that the light would not go out, first in the bottom oven, and then in the top oven. After doing some research I discovered this was not uncommon, and the fix usually involved replacing the hinges and/or the hinge receptacles. It didn't look like a difficult fix so I ordered four new hinges and four new receptacles, which arrived quickly. I found a video on YouTube that showed how to replace the hinges and it... Read more
Fix oven temperature issues, error codes F3E2/F3E0, or uneven cooking. This oven sensor is a straightforward 10-minute DIY repair with our video guide.
When bake was set, the stove would function normally, it would show pre-heating then get up to temperature and beep twice like normal when it reached the set temperature. Shortly after it would start beeping and scroll “ fault detected, press start to try again” across the display. Pressing start did not resolve, the message would continue to post and the pizza inside was burnt. We noticed the broil element was glowing. This model stove does use the broil element for backing but it... Read more
Fix F1 error codes and temperature control issues with this oven temperature sensor. Takes about 15 minutes to install—just 2 screws and plug-in wiring.
First of all Appliance Parts Pros is the best!! I would not have had the confidence to make this repair myself without their outstanding videos and Q&A sections on their website. And their prices for parts are very competitive. Like many stories on the website, my oven would heat up beyond the temperature set point. When it reached the target temperature, the lower heating element (I think this is the “bake” element) would shutoff, but the top element (“broil” element I believe) would remain on... Read more

Burned or damaged terminal block causing power loss? This connection point fixes arcing, sparking, and burnt wire issues. DIY repair with basic tools.
I determined the hidden bake element below the oven cavity was not working, because the bottom of the oven was cold during normal use. If you have a built-in microwave + oven combination (mine is KitchenAid Model No. KEMS308SSS05), this is a difficult repair. The engineer who designed this oven should be invited to succeed elsewhere. It is impossible to access the bake element from the inside of the oven, so the How To video associated with this part will not help you. I had to remove the... Read more
Mice nesting in your oven? Replace damaged insulation wrap to restore heat retention and cooking performance. Wraps around oven cavity. DIY-friendly.
Took the stove apart*, saw where the mouse had made a nest. It was kind of like a hotel room after a rock star had used it. It was nasty, is what I'm saying. I removed the insulation, which immediately went into a garbage bag and was placed outside, whereupon I took off and nuked the site from orbit. It was the only way to be sure (actually it was disposed of in the proper manner, no nukes were detonated in the course of this repair). Anyway, I ordered the insulation from this site, which was... Replace your cracked, warped, or missing oven rack. This sturdy metal rack provides a reliable cooking surface inside your range oven cavity.
I bought an( as is) range (Maytag) form a dealer. I assumed that it would have racks, however, it came without. I tried to find some racks that would fit but none available. So I decided to order from Appliance Pros and received the right racks two days after I ordered. Very Happy Camper, Read more
Oven not heating or heating slowly? Your bake element likely failed. Located at the bottom of the oven cavity, this part restores even baking. Easy DIY fix.
First I removed the (3) wire shelves. Removed the bottom cover by removing the (2) screws in the back. This exposed the oven element. Removed the (2) screws holding the mounting bracket on the front of the element then removed the (2) screws on the silver bracket that holds the back of the element. I carefully pulled the element forward which pulls it out of the back of the oven. I pulled slightly on the (2) wires attached to the element in order to get a small amount of slack to remove them...
