I have a Jennair jjw9630cas double wall oven, and after a few years I noticed that the light would not go out, first in the bottom oven, and then in the top oven. After doing some research I discovered this was not uncommon, and the fix usually involved replacing the hinges and/or the hinge receptacles. It didn't look like a difficult fix so I ordered four new hinges and four new receptacles, which arrived quickly. I found a video on YouTube that showed how to replace the hinges and it... Read more

Freezer icing up or not defrosting? This refrigerator defrost thermostat monitors evaporator coil temperature. DIY repair in 15-30 minutes with video.
Condenser was encased in solid block of ice due to automatic defrost not working. Replaced thermostat and ADC control board. Working fine now. Most tedious part was using a heat gun to melt all the ice off the condenser coils. You will need a couple small wire nuts to splice the new thermostat into the existing harness (they are not included). Service tech wanted over $400 to repair, fixed it myself for half that. Thanks ! Control bracket secures switches and components in your refrigerator door dispenser panel. Replace if cracked, broken, or switch pins are damaged.
I watched the Appliance Parts Pros repair video and decided to remove the front panel to diagnose the problem. While the repair video is excellent, I could not remove the ice/water dispenser front panel with a putty knife. On my model, 106.56234400, there is no clip that can be released by sliding a putty knife up under the front panel. It took a little effort but I was able to pop the left lower corner clip just by pulling it out with my fingers. Once the cover was off I could see that the... Read more
Replaces worn or broken door cam in your refrigerator. Lifts door during opening/closing to reduce hinge stress. Install if cam is cracked or damaged.
Replaced both sets of door cams on my Kenmore Elite Refrigerator. The most important thing to know is that you DO NOT have to remove the doors from the refrigerator to replace BOTH sets of cams. You just have to remove the lower grill which is a snap fit (I also turned off the water and unplugged the unit). My fridge has an ice and water dispenser where the water and electrical lines go through the cams on the left side. Be sure to order the correct parts as the cam holes on the freezer side... Interior lights staying on or not working? This door switch controls refrigerator lighting and functions. Moderate DIY repair with video guide available.
I watched the video on replacing the switch on a side freezer where prying out to original switch did not look difficult. I then got on the floor and tried to pry out my switch. Had a terrible time (locking tab or switch body hardened with time?) and mangled the switch terribly and the upper panel of the freezer somewhat, but the switch did come out. AND THEN the top freezer panel with the switch and light assembly fell out into my hands! I was able to unplug one Molex connector and the... Read more

Illuminates the dryer drum for better visibility when loading and unloading. Replace when bulb burns out or fails to light. Confirm fit with your model.
Originally the dryer was squeaking a lot, so I purchased a new belt tensioner, but the original tensioner was an old-style no wheel tensioner, so that wasn't the source of the squeaking. I saw a lot of lint had built up inside the unit where there shouldn't have been that much. So I viewed a few videos on the Appliance Pros site and saw that the rear wheel guides were the cause of the squeaking and the rear felt drum and blower housing seal needed to be replaced. The rear blower housing was... Read more
Guides ice from the bucket through the dispenser chute. Replace if cracked, broken, or missing to prevent ice jams and ensure smooth dispensing.
Ice Door Kit, Control Bracket, and Ice Dispenser Guide were purchased. I followed two videos on replacing the parts. The Control Bracket WP2180226 / AP6005965, was straight forward and I discovered a snapped pin on the old bracket causing an electric switch to be out of place... that repair was easy. When it came to the hinges of the ice chute, I discovered the snap-in, on right side, of the hinge was cracked... this is why the pin escaped. This cracked part is molded into the entire... Read more

Ice maker stopped making ice or won't eject cubes? The control module regulates ice production cycles. Simple 3-screw replacement restores function.
SO I FIGURED THAT ALL THE MECHANICAL PARTS OF IT WERE FINE SO THE LOGICAL THING TO DO WAS TO REPLACE ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS WHICH CONSISTED OF THE THERMOSTAT {THE BRAIN} AND THE CONTROL MODULE WHICH I PURCHASED AT A VERY REASONABLE PRICE . I REASSEMBLED THE UNIT AND IT HAS BEEN WORKING LIKE NEW EVER SINCE. THANK YOU! Read more
Loud noise or freezer warming up? This evaporator fan blade circulates cold air over coils. Simple DIY fix—most repairs done in under an hour.
The fridge is 20+ years old in a home we recently moved into. It sounded like a motor getting stuck on something or grinding weird... was hoping it wasn't something more serious. Found this site, clicked 'noisy' and got the replacement evaporator fan motor blade as well as the motor evaporator. Turned out I didn't really need to replace the fan blade, but since I had it and ours was old, figured I might as well put in the new parts. Followed the videos here, which were really helpful. Refrigerator light won't turn on or stays on constantly? A faulty light switch is likely the cause. This 15-minute DIY repair restores proper operation.
We had delayed repairing the problem because we received a price of more than $ 100 from a local appliance repairman. However, after viewing the view on the ApplianceParts Pro website, I saw what an easy repair it would be. After receiving the part from you, I had my son do the repair because I felt it would a good father - son bonding time. It was so easy and he was proud of his ability. Thanks for your excellent repair video and the excellent price. It costs less than $ 22 instead of more... Read more
Refrigerator not cooling or freezer warming up? A failed evaporator fan motor stops cold air circulation. DIY repair takes about 1 hour with basic tools.
Used U-Tube diagnostic clips to diagnose that most likely problem was a worn Evaporator Fan Motor which is located in the freezer back wall, located in the top third of the unit. I removed 6 hex head screws from the freezer's interior back panel that covers the evaporator coils. The cover is located in the lower 2/3s of the back wall. Removed all shelving. Also removed screws that held in shelf supports on one side of the freezer wall. I then removed the back panel. You may need to... Read more
