Samsung Refrigerator Door

The easiest repair I've ever done. I originally thought (after watching some youtube tutorials) I would need to replace the spring on the flap, but it is not accessible on our Samsung model. Undid the two screws holding the flap to the fridge door, pop it up off the other supports, and un-clip it from the power cord. Put the new flap on the same way and all done! Looked at new part and realized there were only 2 screws that held the flap onto the door. Removed 2 caps off of screws with small knife and saved them. Removed 2 screws and the flap fell off into my hands. Disconnected wire harness. Connected wire harness for new flap and carefully pushed harness back into recess in door. Put screws back with caps. Closed the door to test and another wonderful job completed by homeowner! Read more

Unscrewed old flap. Then unplugged it. Plugged in new flap ( make sure it is right side up). Screw both hinges back, and voilà, fridge fixed! Read more

I ordered a replacement french panel. I could have just ordered the spring and top cap but the whole unit was replaced by removing 2 screws and an electrical connection. Piece of cake 5 minute job. Read more
