Replaces broken or worn center mullion assembly between French doors. Includes internal spring mechanism. Needed when flap won't stay closed or spring fails.
The easiest repair I've ever done. I originally thought (after watching some youtube tutorials) I would need to replace the spring on the flap, but it is not accessible on our Samsung model. Undid the two screws holding the flap to the fridge door, pop it up off the other supports, and un-clip it from the power cord. Put the new flap on the same way and all done! Flipper assembly that installs vertically on the French door liner to seal the center gap. Replace if cracked, broken, or no longer closing properly.
Looked at new part and realized there were only 2 screws that held the flap onto the door. Removed 2 caps off of screws with small knife and saved them. Removed 2 screws and the flap fell off into my hands. Disconnected wire harness. Connected wire harness for new flap and carefully pushed harness back into recess in door. Put screws back with caps.
