Toehead for Model Number WTW6600SW2 I moved my washer and there was a black mark on the floor like something was leaking also water had leaked out at some point and ran across the floor. I thought a seal may be bad but I noticed that the tub seems to move a lot. I has been getting off balanced frequently lately.
Answer Toehead, This issue sounds like the tub bearing may have gone bad and allowing the tub shaft to move around. For this issue you would either want to replace the bearing or replace the outer tub. The black that you are seeing would be from the bearing grease leaking. The outer tub is part number W10193886 and comes with the bearing and shaft. The bearings can be replaced separately by ordering part number W10435302 but will require a bearing tool which is part number W10447783. Read More...
