How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP6285991 / 5304512731 Control Board

Ordered and installed a new controller. 

Replaced the dispenser, but this did not solve the problem. Then came here for a replacement of the circuit board. It was a very simple exchange of parts as long as you take good pictures of what it looked like. 

Opened up front panel and found basic wiring diagram clipped inside. Using it, I tested for 120v to the control board. There was voltage, so figured board was defunct. Got the model number off the decal on inside door edge.Ordered new board and it ARRIVED THE NEXT DAY. Fantastic! Installed new board - problem solved. 

Ordered a new control board, it came very quick, installed and the dishwasher worked.

Replaced the circuit board. It was quick and easy to fix. In fact, I had my 15-year-old do it (in order to teach him how to fix things). He knocked it out easily and we were up and running in no time. I have purchased parts for a previous oven we owned as well and each time Appliance Parts Pros has shipped extremely fast and the parts work perfectly, as described. 

The control board was going bad so we had to replace the board. We turned off power to the dishwasher, removed the screws from the back casing of the panel as well as the panel and ribbon connections. And reverse the steps to install the board. It was a simple fix that took less than 10 minutes. It worked like a charm and saved us from having to replace our 15-year-old dishwasher that is still in great working order.
