I watched your excellent how-to videos, studied the diagrams and read the remarks of other people. Following that, I realized that It needed a new ice maker, which I ordered. Although my model GE refrigerator was different from the one shown on the video, the repair process was essentially the same. I called your help line and spoke with Brent, who was quite helpful. We both learned that to unplug the ice maker on my unit, I also had to remove the auger motor cover. The repair took only a few minutes. The new ice maker is working fine.
