How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP6993956 / WD19X25187 Single Speed Dishwasher Drain Pump Kit

Installed drain pump kit 

Replaced with new pump, new cords for the door. New springs that were sent did not have enough tension and did not work properly so I reused the old springs

Replaced with your new drain pump. It took more time to pull out the dishwasher than to replace the pump. Instructions were great. 

Replaced dishwasher drain pump. 

I installed the new pump. But beware there is probably 8-10 oz of water that drains from hoses, etc. And as much as I didn't want to remove the dishwasher from under the counter, it's the only practical way to get to the pump. Replacing the pump is a breeze; it's the rest of it that takes the time. 

Verified drain lines were clear and replaced drain pump. It was much easier to just remove dishwasher from counter then to work with it installed. I've had it out multiple times. 

I put out my dishwasher and took it out to my garage and hooked up the water to it and plugged it in to see what was going on with it. I ran it like that and seen that the pump would kick on but wasn’t pumping the water out. So I googled GE dishwasher and found out I could order a new pump. So I ordered a pump from this site. In less than a week I received the pump. Once I received the new pump I replaced the old pump. Once I was done installing the new pump I tried it out again in my garage to make sure it was working. After I verified that it worked I reinstalled the dishwasher back in my kitchen. The description of the pump gives you some trouble shooting ideas on what is going on with your GE appliances.
