I had previously had a failure with the control board and this issue acted the same way. The dishwasher had a lot of water in it so I removed the water and still it would not start. I ordered a replacement control board. A day later I noticed some water on the floor so I removed the piece on the bottom and looked where the pumps are. The drip pan was full of water so I removed the water and cleaned it out. After that the dishwasher would run but not pump out the water. Now I knew it was probably the pump so I called AppliancePartsPros.com and got the control board order cancelled, they were great to work with I might add. I went back online and ordered the new pump. I received it in two days, a great turnaround for the cheaper shipping option. While waiting for the pump I watched the video that was available from AppliancePartsPros.com, it told me exactly how to do the repair. Back in business now. A side note, after replacing the pump I took the old one apart and found a piece of glass in it.
