How to Troubleshoot & Replace Lg AP6027671 / 4434ER0002H Washer Tub Spider Assembly

After researching the potential causes, I used your You-Tube video of step by step instructions to disassemble the entire machine. It was the broken spider gear as expected so I used the parts ordered...reassembled the machine (again using the video in reverse) and voila....a perfectly running machine. Looked up parts online through you web site. Easy and accurate the repair video was great! 

Replaced front and rear bearings, seal, spider arms, and outer tub seal. It was very difficult to remove the inner tub from the outer tub. The old bearings worn so bad that they were so attached to the spider arms shaft which was difficult even with using rust remover. Also be careful when detatching the door latch wire harness, this was not easy to get apart especially where it is located, when I was detatching it I accidentally broke the door latch switch which then I had to replace also. I had listed this as over 2 hours cause I had cleaned both the inner tub, outer tub,and gasket which took quite some time to do to get all of the grime off of them. 

Replaced both bearings, seal and spider arm (mainly because it was disgusting and had rust at base of shaft). 

Ordered replacement spider, seals, bearings, shocks. Replaced all as long as was in there, though shocks looked good. Spider was not broken but shaft looked scruffy. The bearing seal had leaked and water took out both bearings. One spider bolt wouldn't come out because the nut spun in the plastic housing it was in. I fought that and won. Beating the bearings out and back in was not fun. I had to pound down against the rear bearings inner race against the inner tub to get the spline all the way through unlike the video. When it was all back together all worked except the cycle hung during spin. Got ue error. Tub turned stiff by hand. When I loosened the bolt attaching the rotor to the shaft, the tub started to rotate freer. I reapplied thread locker and just snugged the bolt. It works like new now. DONT overtighten. 

The washer had to come all apart of course but APP’s video walked me easily through it. I spent a lot of time cleaning of all the “ washer plaque” before I put it back together. I also got a can of epoxy paint and painted the spider before I reaseambled everything. 

Replaced spider shaft bearings and seals had recently paid $600 to repairman to fix lasted 1.5 months. Took washer apart to find out he had replaced bearings and seals on a worn spider shaft. Ordered all parts repairman had changed plus a spider shaft for $200

Overall a great experience and my washer machine is now quite as a mouse I and I believe it seems better than it did as brand new. Excited. Didn't want to fork out $1,200 on a new washer right before Christmas. 

First of all, I knew the drain pump was bad due to it would not drain. I watched a video and was very easy to replace. Then I realized the tub was rubing and squeaking noice, again video pointed out it was that the bearings was out. I ordered the bearings and seal and the gasket that went between the outer tub. After breaking the machine down I had realized it wasn't the bearing it was the spider one arm was completely broke. Again I watch the video and ordered the spider kept the seal and sent the bearings back return was very easy. It took me an hour and a half maybe two hours to complete the whole job thanks to the videos and the availability of the parts. I am a 56 year old grandmother and I am very proud that my machine is now working as brand new. For not much over a 100.00. No service charge or labor.
