Michele B Fairmount , ND September 17, 2021 Washer would not drain So right off the bat, this video did nothing for me as far as getting to the pump as it isn't even close to the model I have. That being said, the thought of digging into this project blind was very intimidating. First, drain the tub manually. Disconnect power and water lines. Taking the back off wasn't necessary. Started by taking off the top of the washer, the soap dispenser, the control panel, the door, the spring around the rubber, and then the front panel (had to disconnect door lock and button first). Disconnected the pump from hoses and electrical wires, remembering what goes where. When the new one arrived, installed and reassembled the washer in the reverse order I took it apart. James D Gaithersburg , MD June 05, 2021 Appliance: Model SAMSUNG WF448AAW/XAA Filter clogged. Even though the machine indicated the filter was clogged, the problem was actually with the pump. We cleaned the filter repeatedly and even disassembled the machine to clean out the drain pipes and around the pump. After eliminating all other possibilities, we ordered the pump with the thought that if that didn't take care of the problem we would just move on to a new machine. This one is about 11 years old and we're trying to squeeze every last washing cycle out of it. So, we received the OEM pump from Appliance Parts Pros, installed it in about an hour, and now works like a new one! The instructional video associated with this pump on the website does not show the front loading washer but there's plenty of youtube videos that provide instructions on how to replace. I've order from Appliance Parts Pros before and probably will continue to as my appliances age. Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes Tools: Pliers, Screwdrivers

Joseph F Georgetown , IN May 05, 2021 Not draining or not draining well. Figured it wasn’t the control board. So there could have been a clog in the drain hose or the trap was clogged. Checked and not so. Proceeded to remove the pump and it had a rough spin to it. Samsung...... top Korean washer...... WHY the Chinese PUMP?? Received the new pump faster than I anticipated! Wet stuff hanging all over, and wife not happy! Installed a new pump. Sat in front of the machine with well-deserved beer and put it through a quick cycle... EUREKA! Mama is happy!
