I ordered a new ice maker, still no ice. My old ice maker was 12 years old, so I thought all I needed was a new ice maker. WRONG! I decided to research the problem before ordering another part. I watched videos on You Tube and the Internet. My ice maker uses an infrared beam, instead of the standard arm to stop making ice when the container is full. If this part is defective it will not send power to the ice maker, no ice. After reading another review, they mentioned doing the Optic test on the infrared beam, it was easy. Replaced the Ice Level Power Control Board Kit. Problem solved! The part is expensive, cost more than the ice maker. I'm keeping the new ice maker, I'll use the old one for spare parts if I have another problem. I hope it lasts another 12 years.
