Carey S Larue , TX October 10, 2014 Appliance: Whirlpool 24" Built-In Electric Double Oven Std-Clean Lower Self-Clean Upper RBD305PRB00 From what i had read on the internet i had a bad electronic control board I ordered this part from Appliance Parts Pros on a Tue. afternoon around 2:30 pm central time. It arrived at my house the next day around 4:00 pm. just using standard shipping. I installed the part and my oven works. I just pulled the oven out and rested the front part of it on a stool far enough to have access to the top panel. When replacing the board, I took out one connection at a time and plugged it into the new panel. Oh, I did turn off the breaker to the oven before doing anything and double checked to make sure it was off. The hard part was removing the trip pieces around the oven. I would highly recommend Appliance Parts Pros. for your service. Read More... 12 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers
Christopher W Fredericksburg , VA July 14, 2014 Appliance: Whirlpool 27" Built-In Electric Double Oven Convection - Upper Oven Self-Clean (Gold Line GBD277PRS00 F2 e6 error code oven beeped then display went blank several hours late the code appeared Researching the error code on the internet led me to think I had a faulty control board. I cleaned the ribbon as suggested and it worked for a day before giving the error code again. After looking at the part during the first repair attempt, I realized the control board can easily be switched out. I ordered a replacement control board from AppliancePartsPros.com and replaced it. After cutting power and removing the side trim to the oven, I unscrewed the keypad control. Then I carefully pulled out the connection plugs, taking note of the location of the connection on the new control board, and kept the sister board aside. I connected the new board and the sister board and it worked! There was an issue of getting one connection to fit next to another part, but I eventually got it connected. Other than that it was an easy fix. Read More... 12 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers
Chad D Schofield , WI January 22, 2017 Appliance: Whirlpool 24" Built-In Electric Double Oven Std-Clean Lower Self-Clean Upper RBD305PRS00 Display went dark; oven light and buttons all worked and beeped Replaced the electronic control board. Was relatively easy once I figured out how to get into where the control panel was located; videos supplied were for a different model. Basically, unplug connectors, pull 4 screws, replace board and 4 screws then replug in connectors. I would suggest taking pics of all connectors before taking apart to make sure all get put into the correct place (8-9 total connectors). The wires are color coded but several plugs are the same size so it will make putting back together a faster task. Most difficulty of this replacement is removing the wall oven from the cabinet. I pulled mine out only far enough to gain access to the back of the touch pad and supported it with a 5 gal. bucket. Also, make sure to keep yourself grounded by staying in contact with a metal portion of the oven to prevent static damaging the new control board. Mark E Riverton , UT December 26, 2014 Appliance: Whirlpool 24" Built-In Electric Double Oven Std-Clean Lower Self-Clean Upper RBD305PRS00 Whirlpool rbd305prs00 oven shuts off after running 15 minutes display blank until cool We called a local appliance repairman. When he arrived it was clear he was only able to guess at a cause and randomly replace parts. Since I am very good at same I sent him on his way with a $55 dent in my wallet. We looked at the specs for the oven on this site and compared notes with several sources on the Googles. The winner seemed to be the "electronic control board", which we quickly ordered from ApliancePartsPros.com. The part arrived in 2-days (paid for 2-day shipping). We removed old part with new. Look at diagrams - you can figure out how to take apart. In the end all went well and oven is working famously. Only word of caution - watch the very top lip of the over behind the control panel. The darn thing is as sharp as a razor blade and then some. Read More... 2 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers

Eric P Murrieta , CA November 15, 2014 Appliance: Whirlpool 30" Built-In Electric Double Oven Convection-Upper Self-Clean (Gold Line) GBD307PRS01 Panel beeps and lights turned on but no display oven didn't work either Thanks to the help of this site and all the great help from people on here I was able to replace the controller board with relative ease. One quick small suggestion to other folks about to do this, take lots of pictures of all the cables, their location, and just of the panel in general before unplugging the old board. I had to go back and refer to them a few times because there were a few wires that were the same color and same connector type so you could easily get them in the wrong spot on the new board pretty easily. Gilford B Pembroke Pines , FL November 08, 2015 Appliance: Whirlpool 24" Built-In Electric Double Oven Std-Clean Lower Self-Clean Upper RBD275PRS00 The dis play screen goes blank most of the time on occasions it would turn on then shuts off after a few seconds I replaced both the control board and the membrane switch. both were easy to do. Just be careful to note where all the wires are before you remove them. Slight difficulty connecting the membrane to the control board and that was because I did not remove the clipped connector from the control board before I try to insert the ribbon. Remove the clip connector by pressing the ends together, the slide the ribbon through it, then reconnect the connector to the base with the ribbon still inserted. My oven is now working fine, thank to help from AppliancePartsPros. Read More... 1 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers
