Thomas H Fort Worth , TX January 28, 2020 Appliance: Whirlpool Washer WTW5600SQ0 A bad smell told me the washer motor had burned up After finding the replacement motor on your website I also saw, to my great relief, a How-To video. Following the video it was quite easy for me. I replaced the motor coupling at the same time. The hardest part was putting the washer cover back on. Had to watch the video a second time and I got it. It was cool when it went into its spin cycle and I could see I did everything right. You saved me the expense of a new washer. Thanks. John P Paducah , KY May 28, 2021 Bad drive motor clicking buzzing burning electrical smell Did a Google search on symptoms. Found the link to the repair video on Appliance Parts Pros.com. The video gave clear instructions to repair. Got the model number off the old motor and found a direct replacement on their website. Ordered it and received it in a day and half. The new motor was packaged well, Followed the directions from the repair video and had the washer up and running like new in less than 30 minutes. Sure beats $700.00 for a new washer. This is the first time I have made any repairs to any of my appliances. Appliance Parts Pros will be the first place I look for parts if I am unfortunate enough to have appliance repairs in the future. J. S Linden , TN March 13, 2020 Appliance: Maytag Washer MTW5700TQ0 12 yr old maytag ultimate care washer grinding noise & no spin Youtube helped a lot on how to videos on disassembly videos. Had to remove washer cabinet, easy once you know how. Pop 2 clips, tilt control panel back, remove 2 clips w/screwdriver & tilt cabinet back & have full access to innards. 2 clips & pumps come off, 2 clips & motor comes off, checked & coupler was apparently good. No breaks or chips. Took coupler off motor & found shaft had rounded off on motor on back. Checked clutch & transmission while apart. Part of clutch worn down & missing. Replaced clutch w/kit. 15 min. while it was already apart. New motor, new coupler, new clutch assmbly, put new dogs in agitator assembly while apart. Reassemble & now it works like it did 12 yrs ago when we bought it new. About 5 hrs to diagnose, disassemble & reassemble machine. Approx 2 hrs for video for learning info & $230 in new parts. Now I have a brand new washer a lot better than the new ones. Surprised me that when I did chat for info on parts & made sure in stock & I ordered the new parts from appliancepartspros, that I got everything within 36 hrs from ordering. Very happy with experience with these people. Tools needed for this job were 2 large flat blade screwdrivers & 1 small flat blade screwdriver, ½" & 7/16" socket, 2 6" 3/8" dr extensions, 1 ratchet, a small hammer for tapping (used 1 time - NO BEATING now) a pair of water pump pliers & a flashlight. Hardest part was working in very tight quarters. Good luck with your repairs & have patience. John K Alton , IL January 31, 2015 Motor would occasionally stall and lock up it became an ever increasing problem so i decided to replace it I watched the video, which explains everything you need to do. I already had the washer taken apart when the part arrived. The motor fit right in, and the washer was back together and working within ten minutes. The new motor looks like it is an improved version of the old one, so I'm confident the new motor will not suffer the same bearing problems as the original did.
