Mark Z Parker , CO September 04, 2015 Circulation pump was no longer working Very simple process. Pulled out the dishwasher, turned it upside down, removed the one bolt, and the old one was off. New one went on just as easy, flipped it back over and reinstalled the dishwasher under the cabinet. 30-45 mins, including disconnect/reconnect time. One tip: in my case, turning over the dishwasher caused the float to be stuck in the up position so it wouldn't fill. Just jiggled it free and all is well. Read More... William S Brown Deer , WI August 25, 2015 Appliance: Kenmore Undercounter Dishwasher 66516592201 Pump motor was making noise (bad bearing) I replaced the pump. I ruined the old motor after I replaced the pump to see what was the problem. I found that water had passed the seal and rusted the motor shaft and water got into the bearing and caused the noise. I don't think I could have replaced the bearing without damaging the shaft and motor. I would have wasted money on the bearing and seal and ending buying the motor. The motor was very simple to replace once I got the washer out to work on it. It took about 5 minutes to replace the pump. 45 minutes to remove and reinstall the dishwasher. The pump I purchased was a perfect fit and the washer runs like new. Read More... Brian P Vacaville , CA August 18, 2015 Dishwasher circulation motor Our dishwasher was making a very loud noise during the wash cycle. I searched online for possible causes and concluded it was the circulation pump. I watched the video first and decided it was something I could change out myself and so I ordered the part based on the serial number. It arrived the very next day as promised and I followed the steps in the video. It was easy to install and problem solved. The time estimate to fix was two hours and I would be surprised if it took me 30 minutes and I am far from mechanically inclined. We live in a rural area and all of our appliances are Kitchen Aid, Viking, etc. and accordingly even basic diagnostic service calls involve a $150 technician travel fee. This is the third appliance I have now repaired myself thanks to Appliance Parts Pros. I would estimate I have saved at least $750.00 by doing these repairs myself. I would recommend watching the video first though to see if you think you can do the repair yourself. Also worth noting, you can return the part if you can't install it or keep it for an appliance technician to install. Either way, I will net you will end up saving money and time. Chris J Yukon , OK August 15, 2015 Appliance: KitchenAid Undercounter Dishwasher KUDS35FXSS2 I did not have an error code the dishwasher was not pumping water the drain pump was working it would fill with water and the float switch would shut off the water I first checked the float switch and the fill valve to make sure they were operational. I have had many repairs with the lower sump disposal screen and removing foreign debris from that area so I had already checked that and it was clean as well.(note, do not was plastic forks, they are the biggest culprits for the tines to break off and make their way down to the disposer and cause a clog.) The drain pump was working fine. The only other possibility was the circulation pump. Bought the pump online from appliance parts pros and it arrived next day with regular shipping! Awesome! .. when you have 7 people living in your house, having a dishwasher down is a nightmare! I watched the video available and it was an easy repair. Thank you for the great video! Read More... Stanley A Cheraw , SC July 19, 2015 Whirlpool silent partner 2 Loud grinding sounds when machine war running. I read other blogs saying that water would get behind motor seal rusting out bearings .
