How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6023956 / WPW10730972 Washer Water Pump

Replaced pump. Removed front panel. Ran cycle and determined the noise was coming from the pump. Googled the model number and ordered the part. $86.00 and 1 hour of time! Ordered the part at 3 pm on Friday and it was delivered by 1 pm Saturday!! Great service and help video. 

Checked Appliance Parts Pros site..code 21 likely the drain pump..ordered a replacement.....2 days later it arrived...simple swap out...did 6 loads that afternoon...we are now caught up.... 

Figured out what was the problem, got on the web, ordered from AppliancePartsPros.Com. The pump came a few days later, very easy to install, plug and play. She has been rocken all weekend. House of four it piles up quick. I got what I ordered, arrived on time, exact fit, up and running! Cant ask for more than that. Thanks 

Ordered another water pump and installed it. My husband installed it. 

Replaced with new one. 

Did some research, figured out it was drain pump, ordered from a different provider but there was a problem with the delivery address so it was returned to sender. Had to order again but this time through appliance parts pros, requested expedited delivery, my washer pump got to its destination in 2 days, watched the how to install video on its website and washer is now fully operational. 

Was a simple fix, to remove dead pump and replace new one from Appliance Parts Pros. Also want to mention that the cost of the pump was $30 LESS than getting one from our local appliance part store :-) even after the cost of shipping. 

New pump and 15 minutes of very easy work. Video from this site showed how simple of a repair this is! 

Watched the very informative video. Realized it was the discharge pump and ordered the replacement on Friday. The part arrived Saturday and I swapped it out. Painless and complete. 

Dryer: Replaced the heating element and thermal cutoff kit. Washer: Replaced pump. It fixed the problems of both washer & dryer!
