How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6023956 / WPW10730972 Water Pump

I was getting a F21 code off and on for some time. I checked to see if the screen was filled with lent or coins or a sock maybe. It was clean so I looked up online on what to do. I finally ordered a new drain pump and motor assembly from appliancepartpro. It took maybe 15 minutes to install. I could have done it quicker but I had hand surgery and I did not want to rip out the stitches. After installation washer worked like a new one. Thanks to everyone for all your help.

I ordered a new pump assy from AppliancePartsPros and received the part right away. The video online was right on and installation was a breeze! It fixed the problem and I was saved from having to pay a repair shop or worse yet buying a new washer! 

Used the internet to troubleshoot problem, searched for a drain pump, found it on AppliancePartsPro.com at a very reasonable price, including shipping...ordered it ,at 1 am (after me getting off work on a Wednesday) , part was delivered at 2 pm on friday, installed it in less then 20 and went off to work...wife said it was good timeing and it has worked great since....thanks to you 

Watched the how to video online. Was a simple easy fix. After a little fiddling,mthe old one came out easily by lifting a rubber flap that locked it in place and then simply sliding it to the position where it could be lifted up and out. Pliers to remove the big hose (get a bucket ... that was a mess) and wire snips to remove the clamp on the other hose. Lifted the flap to expose the electrical connector, disconnected it. Slid the new one in place and reconnected hoses and electrical connector. That was it. Runs like a charm again. 

I Googled the whirlpool web address and one of the sites was appliancepartspros.com. I clicked on that site and was amazed with the ease of finding all I needed to know about my washer by simply entering it's model number. I found the part I needed and a video showing how to install it. The price was very reasonable and the video extremely easy to follow so I ordered the part. I received the part the following day. I noticed on the website it estimated an installation time of 15 minutes so out of curiosity I timed my work. It tookme 10 minutes to remove the old pump and install the new. What a savings of time and money!! 

Replaced the drain pump assembly. Used the online video from Youtube. This was such a simple fix, but the attachment of the pump to the frame is by rubber gromets. Without the video, I would not have known how to remove the pump. By doing it myself, I saved over $100 on the cost of a repair man and pump price. 

Purchased a replacement pump from AppliancePartsPros.com. It was simple to install so I saved a lot of money versus having someone else make the repair. 

I called a repair man he told me his price so I called my son and he said , Dad go on the internet see if you can find the part . I did and they even explained how to change it saved $163.00 Thanks
