How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6009858 / WP6-3129480 Dryer Drum Roller Axle

Replaced with new parts. I received the new parts very fast ,2day delivery. 

I replaced both drum roller axels, one of which was badly scored. I also replaced both the drum rollers and the tumbler bearings. The online video was excellent. However, I suggest you recommend ordering the nuts for the axels: I needed a trip to a hardware store for that. Also, reassembling the dryer was not as smooth as disassembly. I should have taken my own photos of which holes mated with screws. 

The Drum roller has a metal insert which had moved and forced the axel to rotate until it cut the Axel's threaded end off. Great delivery and service form Appliance Parts Pros. Local guy said parts were unavailable! 

My husband ordered the parts, took the entire dryer apart and changed the parts and voila! no more squeaks! 

Removed the drum and replaced the rollers. Should have opened up the unit as I ordered the belt pulley thinking I had replaced the support rollers in the past. Turned out that repaire was older than I thought and the right side roller failed Advise always replace both support rollers and open the unit before ordering parts as it is not difficult or time consuming 

Replaced both rollers and shafts and the teflon bearing strips. One of the old rollers was in terrible condition (bearing shot), which also damaged the shaft. The other old roller was serviceable, but I changed it while everything was apart. The teflon strips were showing signs of wear, and were also changed. Dryer now performs as good as new. 

I watched several videos on AppliancePartsPros.com and thought "Hey! I can do this!". Ordered two Drum Support Rollers, two Dryer Drum Roller Axles, a Dryer Drum Belt, and a Belt Tension Pulley. Everything arrived in one day! Once dryer was actually disassembled, there was one Drum Support Roller that was obviously causing the problem, but I replaced everything that I purchased. It now functions like brand new! Thank you! 

First time ever fixing an appliance! Super Easy! I searched on You Tube and learned what the problem was and watched how to fix it. The video showed me that I needed obviously a new belt but also to replace the actual problem, the axle the the rollers turned on. (Luckily I saved the nuts on the axles and the clips that hold the rollers on, because those are sold separate). So I order the parts, on a Sunday, online from Appliance Parts Pro only to notice I forgot to add my box number. I called Monday morning and had the best experience with Customer Service! I live in Hawaii, so shipping here can be pain, but Thursday all the parts came and my dryer is as good as new. Our Washer/Dryer set has been with us for our entire marriage 89-present and started to show some age.
