This air duct seal creates a tight barrier between the dryer's lint housing and cabinet. Replacing a worn seal helps prevent air leaks, maintain proper airflow through the lint filter, and restore consistent drying performance.
- Seals the air duct/lint housing to the front panel to direct airflow through the lint screen and drum
- Helps maintain dryer efficiency and temperature control by preventing bypass air leaks
- Common symptoms of a failed seal include longer dry times, weak exhaust airflow, excess lint inside the cabinet, or lint around the door opening
- Replaces a deteriorated or missing seal to restore the intended air path
What's included: 1 air duct seal Install notes:
- Disconnect power; shut off gas supply for gas models
- Access the air duct by removing the lint screen and top/front panels as needed
- Remove the old seal and any residue; clean mating surfaces before installing the new seal
- Seat the duct evenly against the panel when reassembling to ensure a uniform seal

Dryer belt broke on kenmore washer/dryer combo Lillian H. • S Chesterfield , VA • January 15, 2018
Pulled front cover off of dryer and back plate to get belt on. Remember to always shut breaker off to machine and test to make sure no electricity is running to it. Pretty simple. I also replaced the seal to the air duct where the lint filter sits since I had to take the front the off anyway. About 1 hr of time to complete and I'll be 60 years old this month. Good thing I didn't have to pull the drum.
