The refrigerator is about 8-9 years old. GE Profile side by side with water and ice dispenser in the freezer door. Recently, it was time to replace the MSWF cartridge (the indicator light came on). The replacement arm arrived promptly. Removing the old spray arm hub was very difficult by hand, plumbers wrench, or adjustable wrench. However, by inserting a screwdriver trough the two opposite holes where the tabs had broken off, it is relatively easy to unscrew the old hub. Read more

I Replaced the power resistor. The old resistor had a small burnt spot and tested infinity for resistance.The terminals were too small so I had to make new connector. Any 5000 ohm ceramic filled resistor would have worked also. Read more

Replaced sump and related pieces. Also replaced door baffles that were getting bad. The hardest part of job was removing the dishwasher from the its spot in cabinets. The info on site made replacing parts easy. Read more

GE Microwave/Convection Oven. Removed case (carefully). Tested in-line power cord fuse with multi-meter. Fuse was good. Noticed a scorch mark on a wire connected to the oven cavity thermal fuse. The fuse appeared to have been overheated from too much movement in it's mount. Removed part from unit and used number on the part to order a new one. Installed new part, re-assembled, and unit works fine. Read more

Unplug range. Open oven door to gain access to the cook top lock-down screws, located under the front edge of the cook top. Tip the cook top up and carefully remove it by pulling forward. I was GREATLY surprised. I ordered 2 of the parts, to do both sides while I had it apart. The NEXT DAY the parts were at my door. I pulled the unit, and took out what seemed like a thousand screws to get the ram out. The parts just clip in. I had to straighten the ram and reassemble the unit. • No heat or not enough heat

GE Gas Dryer Model DBVH512GF1WW began to heat for only a short amount of time so drying clothes took WAY too long. Read online that the first thing to replace are the solenoids. Bought the two solenoids from AppliancePartsPros.com for about $50 total, and it seems to have fixed the problem. Had to watch a few videos to learn to disassemble the dryer, and the job took a couple of hours, but now that I know what I'm doing it could be done in less than 30 minutes. Ordered replacement seals for both freezer and refrigerator sides. Followed directions that I had found on YouTube. The installation in a nut shell is warm the seals in a bathtub with very hot water for at least 2-3hrs then place the seals. Then warm the seals with a hair dryer as needed. After getting the seals out of the hot bath the installation took all of 20-25 minutes for both seals. Read more

Replaced the canopy. Took a few trials to install. Once I realized than you slide the part towards the tabs til it stops and then while pushing up towards the roof pull it back under two metal ears it held it self in place. That was the easiest repair ever. Did not need any tools. Read more

Ordering the right part is the key. This is the element with 3 wire connectors NOT the usual kind with 2 prongs that slide in. Thank goodness this company carries these elements for old GE built-in stoves. I'm not super handy but replaced two in about 40 min. Make sure you save the old ceramic clamps. I cannot believe how fast shipping was!! I ordered Wednesday afternoon and parts were on my porch before lunch Thursday. Wow that was fast. I took my wife to lunch we discussed the repair our oven door was replaced years ago and now has black handle. I was thinking about spray painting handles but my wife talked me out of it.
