The Large Surface Element is an OEM part for GE ranges and cooktops. This part provides the heat needed for cooking on the range's surface. This large element ensures even heat distribution and consistent cooking temperatures, making it ideal for boiling, frying, and other high-heat cooking methods.
Over time, surface elements can burn out or become less efficient, leading to uneven cooking or failure to heat up at all. This can be due to a variety of reasons, including prolonged use, overheating, or physical damage.
Symptoms of a bad Large Surface Element include:
- The element does not heat up
- It heats unevenly or only partially
- Visible damage to the element, such as blistering or cracks
- The element takes longer than usual to heat up
This OEM GE part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.
