Replacement touch pad control panel for range hoods. Installs on front of unit to operate fan speeds and lights. Order if buttons are cracked or unresponsive.
Fan buttons worked only sometimes and once in a while also interacted with light buttons. Not much troubleshooting help available and not clear to me at first that there was a circuit board in the switch box. Based on this behavior I ordered a Main Board. Main board did not fix it, so I called in and ordered up the Switch box which fixed the problem. Returned the Main Board for credit. Replace your dishwasher's front control keypad when buttons are worn, cracked, or the interface is damaged. Adhesive-backed assembly restores control panel.
Opened up door panel, unplugged ribbon cable from old keypad and plugged in new keypad without installing just to verify keypad was the problem. Start button on new keypad worked so I then removed old keypad which is basically just like peeling off a sticker. Next step was to remove leftover adhesive using solvent. This is a range control panel insert. This part fits over the top of the control panel and marks the burner control settings. Over time, the control setting markers on this part could wear off so that they can no longer be seen. If this is the case, the control panel insert can be replaced so that the correct settings can be used.
